Die Montage der Grundplatte 2 erfolgt mit Hilfe mehrer Senkschrauben 7, die in das Holz des Skikörpers eingeschraubt werden. Durch das drehbare Anbringen des Haltebackens und durch die Elastizität des Materials, welche infolge der senkrechten Einschnitte noch wesentlich erhöht ist, wird bewirkt, daß sich der Stiefel bei Stürzen rechtzeitig vor ernstlicher Verletzung aus der Bindung löst. Andererseits aber wird infolge der Haftfähigkeit und Elastizität des Haltebackens ein vorzeitiges Auslösen der Bindung ausgeschlossen, da selbst bei der schnellsten Abfahrt der allgemeine Druck nach vorn auf den Haltebacken gerichtet ist. Auch bei Verkantungen od. dgl. am Hang löst sich die Bindung nicht vom Stiefel, ehe nicht ein Sturz bevorsteht.Locking nut is switched, the holding jaw 1 presses more or less on the base plate 2.
