Eye models for carrying out laser experiments, with an eye lens replica and with at least one eye body replica, have already been proposed.
Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of the invention
The invention is based on an eye model at least for carrying out laser experiments, with an eye lens replica and with at least one eye body replica.
It is proposed that the eye body replica has at least relative, preferably absolute, sizes and geometries, preferably a Gullstrand eye geometry, which are at least essentially modeled on a human eye, and has a retinal replica on a preferably curved inner wall of the eye body replica opposite the eye lens replica, which at least is designed to generate a laser speckle reflection. As a result, an eye model that is optically true to the original can advantageously be obtained. Advantageously, laser systems, such as virtual retina displays for data glasses, can be tested and/or examined without having to rely on laboratory animals or human test subjects. This means that any health risks can be advantageously eliminated. In addition, the eye models can advantageously be moved anywhere in space and placed in a fixed position, preferably using suitable aids. In particular, the eye model represents an artificial replica or a model of a human eye, preferably an artificial eye/an artificial eye. When designing the eye model, the main focus is preferably on its optical properties, which in particular are as close as possible to the real human eye should. In particular, the eye model forms an eye replica. In particular, the eye lens replica has optical properties, preferably an optical function, which are at least essentially the same as the optical properties, preferably the optical function, of the eye lens of the real human eye.
The eye lens replica is preferably made of a different, in particular inorganic, material from the eye lens of the real human eye, for example made of a plastic or a glass. The eye body replica is also preferably made of a material that is different from the eye body of the real human eye, in particular an inorganic material, for example plastic and/or metal. In particular, the retinal replica is attached, preferably glued, to the inner wall of the eye body replica. The retinal replica is preferably made of an inorganic material that is different from the material of the real retina of a human or animal eye. In particular, the retinal replica is arranged on the inner wall of the eye body replica in such a way that the eye lens replica focuses on the retinal replica a light incident on the eye model, in particular on the eye lens replica from outside the eye body replica.
Die Gullstrand-Augengeometrie des Augenkörperreplikats weist vorzugsweise einen Innendurchmesser des Augenkörperreplikats (Abstand Lichteinlassöffnung zu Netzhautreplikat) von 24 mm auf.“Substantially simulated relative or absolute sizes” are to be understood as relative or absolute sizes that deviate by less than 20%, preferably by less than 15%, preferably by less than 10% and particularly preferably by less than 5% from the true relations or dimensions and shapes of an average human eye, in particular a standardized Gullstrand eye. The Gullstrand eye is in particular a simplified theoretical eye model with standardized optical data that goes back to a Swedish ophthalmologist named Allvar Gullstrand. The Gullstrand eye has an aqueous humor and vitreous body refractive index of 1.336. The Gullstrand eye has a lens refractive index between 1.413 (relaxed eye) and 1.424 (maximally accommodated eye). The Gullstrand eye has a corneal refractive value of 43.08 diopters (relaxed eye). The Gullstrand eye has a lens refractive power between 20.53 diopters (relaxed eye) and 33.00 diopters (maximally accommodated eye). The Gullstrand eye has a refractive power of the entire eye between 59.74 diopters (relaxed eye) and 70.54 diopters (maximally accommodated eye). The Gullstrand eye has an object-side focal length between -16.74 mm (relaxed eye) and -14.17 mm (maximally accommodated eye). The Gullstrand eye has an image-side focal length between 22.36 mm (relaxed eye) and 18.94 mm (maximally accommodated eye). Preferably, the focal length of the lens replica creates a focus on the retinal replica. The Gullstrand eye has a pupil diameter between 2 mm and 8 mm. The Gullstrand eye geometry of the eye body replica preferably has an inner diameter of the eye body replica (distance from the light inlet opening to the retina replica) of 24 mm.
The eye lens replica can replicate the human eye lens in the maximally accommodated state or in the relaxed state. It is also conceivable that the eye lens replica is designed to be interchangeable or to have its optical properties manipulated. In particular, the retinal replica replicates a real curvature of the retina in the human eye. In particular, the retinal replica extends at least over a surface of the curved inner wall of the eye body replica, which is spanned by horizontal and vertical angles which are more than 4°, preferably more than 6° and preferably more than 8° in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction. Laser speckle reflection is intended to be understood as a granular interference phenomenon occurring in a reflected laser beam, which can be observed with sufficiently coherent illumination of an optically rough object surface (unevenness in the order of the wavelength). In the real human eye, the laser speckle reflection is generated by the rods and cones of the retina. In particular, laser speckle reflection is used for pupil tracking and/or detection in virtual retinal displays, in particular with laser feedback interferometry methods. In particular, laser speckle reflection is used to determine the pupil position, size and/or shape using the bright pupil effect of the human eye. The term “intended” and/or “set up” is intended to mean, in particular, specifically programmed, designed and/or equipped. The fact that an object is intended for a specific function should be understood in particular to mean that the object fulfills and/or executes this specific function in at least one application and/or operating state.
Furthermore, it is proposed that at least one surface of the retinal replica, in particular the retinal replica, is formed by a retroreflector. This can advantageously produce a reflection that is particularly similar to the real human eye, in particular from infrared laser light. A retinal replica can advantageously be obtained which is able to generate a laser speckle reflection. In particular, the retroreflector can be formed using standard materials and/or coatings known from road traffic. In particular, the retroreflector is designed as a separate retroreflective component that can be attached to the inner wall of the eye body replica, or as a retroreflective coating or painting on the inner wall of the eye body replica. The retroreflector designed as a separate component can be glued and/or laminated, for example, as a film or as an adhesive film to the inner wall of the eye body replica. The retroreflector designed as a painting or coating on the inner wall of the eye body replica can, for example, comprise a powder made of miniaturized glass balls and/or spherical lenses with retroreflective properties.
Alternatively, it is suggested that the retinal replica has a surface covered with microspheres (µ-beads). This can advantageously produce a reflection that is particularly similar to the real human eye, in particular from infrared laser light. A retinal replica can advantageously be obtained which is able to generate a laser speckle reflection. In particular, the microspheres have a, in particular average, diameter of at most 70 μm, preferably about 70 μm. The microspheres are in particular adhered to the eye body replica by an adhesive layer, such as a (sprayed) hairspray layer or a (painted) superglue layer, which is preferably applied to the inner wall of the eye body replica. In particular, the microspheres are designed as glass microspheres.
If the microspheres are at least partially, preferably completely, formed from a butylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer or are coated by a butylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer, a particularly faithful reproduction of the (infrared laser light) reflection properties of the eye model, in particular the retinal replica, can advantageously be achieved . Advantageously, the occurrence of Fresnel reflections can be suppressed and/or reduced as much as possible by using the butylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer. Preferably, the microspheres have at least a top (reflective) layer made of the butylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer. For example, the microspheres could be formed as glass microspheres coated with butylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer.
Alternatively, it is also proposed that the retinal replica has a surface produced by selective laser sintering (SLS). This can advantageously produce a reflection that is particularly similar to the real human eye, in particular from infrared laser light. A retinal replica can advantageously be obtained which is able to generate a laser speckle reflection. In particular, the SLS method produces an optically rough surface, the optical roughness of which preferably corresponds approximately to an optical roughness produced by rods and cones in the human eye. In particular, all human eyes have approximately comparable optical roughness. In particular, the surface produced by the SLS process has tiny elevations and depressions, which are approximately in the same order of magnitude as the wavelengths of light, especially from infrared light. The SLS process is advantageously known from other specialist areas and can be reworked by those skilled in the art, so that there is no need for a more in-depth description of the process at this point. In particular, in the SLS process, a plastic powder is melted with a laser and thus applied to a surface and bonded to the surface.
If the surface produced by selective laser sintering (SLS) comprises incompletely melted plastic powder particles, a good optical roughness of the surface of the retinal replica, in particular that of the human eye, can advantageously be achieved. In particular, in the SLS method, the laser and/or the residence time in the laser, which melts the starting plastic powder, is selected and/or adjusted in such a way that the plastic powder particles of the starting plastic powder are only partially melted. As a result, the plastic powder particles adhere to each other and to the surface to which they are to be applied, but do not completely lose their particle shape. After the SLS process has been completed, the plastic powder particles preferably form a type of conglomerate of tightly caked plastic powder particles. Using the SLS process, either the inner wall of the eye body replica can be acted upon directly or a separate substrate, e.g. a film, is first acted upon, which is then applied to the inner wall of the eye body replica.
If the incompletely melted plastic powder particles are made from a polyoxymethylene, a polypropylene or a
Furthermore, it is suggested that the surface produced by selective laser sintering (SLS) is galvanically chrome-plated. As a result, particularly good reflection properties of the retinal replica can advantageously be achieved, in particular those of the human eye that are particularly faithful to the original. Chrome plating can advantageously increase the reflectivity, in particular retroreflectivity, of the surface produced by SLS based on plastic powder particles, so that the desired reflection behavior of the retina can advantageously be reproduced particularly true to the original. The galvanic chrome plating can be carried out either with the retinal replica already attached to the inner wall of the eye body replica or on a separate substrate, which is then applied to the inner wall of the eye body replica.
It is also proposed that the eye model has a filter element, in particular a neutral density filter (ND filter), which is intended to imitate transmission losses of the human eye. As a result, particularly good transmission and reflection properties of the eye model can advantageously be achieved, in particular those of the human eye that are particularly faithful to the original. In particular, this makes it possible to carry out laser experiments with the same laser energies as in the field. In particular, the filter element can be designed as a filter with rigid filter properties. However, the filter element is preferably designed as a filter with variable filter properties, in particular at least with variable transmission properties, preferably as a variable ND filter. This can advantageously simplify the tuning of a reflectivity of the retinal replica. In addition, the transmission losses of the eye model can be better adapted to those of the real human eye. The filter element, in particular the ND filter, can be arranged directly behind the eye lens replica, viewed in an irradiation direction directed towards the eye model, or at a distance from the eye lens replica within the eye body replica, for example in the middle of the eye body replica or directly in front of the retinal replica. Several filter elements connected in series or which can be connected in series are also conceivable. For example, depending on the manufacturing process/manufacturing tolerances or at different air pressures or humidity, the laser speckle reflection of the retinal replica may vary. This effect can be advantageously compensated for using an ND filter, in particular a variable ND filter. In particular, the filter element, the eye lens replica and the retinal replica are coordinated with one another in such a way that, at least with regard to behavior towards infrared laser beams, the human eye, in particular the interior of the human eye, is reproduced as faithfully as possible.
Furthermore, it is proposed that the eye lens replica is movable at least in a direction that runs at least essentially parallel to a focal direction of the eye lens replica, in particular away from the retinal replica or towards the retinal replica. Through this Ametropia, in particular myopia and/or hyperopia, can advantageously be simulated. In particular, the focus direction runs through the eye lens replica and through a center of the eye body replica. “Substantially parallel” is to be understood here in particular as an alignment of a direction relative to a reference direction, in particular in a plane, with the direction having a deviation from the reference direction, in particular less than 8°, advantageously less than 5° and particularly advantageously less than 2°.
Furthermore, a method for producing an eye model intended at least for carrying out laser experiments is proposed, wherein an eye body replica is provided with a retinal replica on at least part of an inner wall opposite an eye lens replica, which is at least set up to generate a laser speckle reflection , and wherein at least one surface of the retinal replica is made retroreflective, in particular is coated or glued with a retroreflector, is provided with a microsphere covering or is covered by selective laser sintering with incompletely melted plastic powder particles, which are preferably subsequently electroplated with chrome. As a result, an eye model that is optically true to the original can advantageously be obtained. Advantageously, laser systems, such as virtual retina displays for data glasses, can be tested and/or examined without having to rely on laboratory animals or human test subjects.
