Abstract

A lens and an associated, simplified sales process are provided. It is characterized by a low-threshold purchase option for buyers and a simplified process for buyers and sellers. In a preferred embodiment, the measurement is taken automatically and is carried out particularly precisely using a reference element with a reference code.

Description

The present invention relates to the glazing of windows used in buildings.

Windows have a very big impact on the energy losses of buildings. They are an important starting point in the course of a so-called energy renovation, because windows are sometimes designed as glazing with high heat losses. Due to this fact, energy is lost. According to the state of the art, the replacement of complete windows or their glazing is intended to improve the situation. The aim of such an exchange is to reduce heat losses through reduced heat transfer through so-called multiple glazing.

An exchange is associated with the loss of bound energy, i.e. energy that was tied up in the production of the windows and glazing that are now being exchanged. This is an adverse circumstance.

After replacement, the removed windows and glazing must be disposed of, which puts a strain on the infrastructure (landfill and/or recycling) and therefore represents a further disadvantage.

Depending on the market situation, the availability of materials (windows, glazing) is not always guaranteed and can result in high costs.

Another disadvantage in some cases is the availability of craftsmen. Coordinating appointments and sticking to deadlines can sometimes be a challenge. High costs can be incurred and the usability of rooms is only limited or not possible at all while the craftsmen are working. These are further disadvantages that speak against replacing windows or their glazing.

To eliminate these disadvantages, so-called additional washers are known. These can be retrofitted to existing windows, even on your own if the design is suitable. The disadvantage, however, is that it can be difficult for the customer to take measurements and additional panes are not available through retailers with a low-threshold offer. In this context, a low-threshold offer means sales via discounters, where the transport issue is also solved without the customer having to do anything.

The object of the present invention is to avoid or at least reduce the disadvantages described and to demonstrate a simple distribution process. The solution to the problem uses a method with the features of patent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments result from the dependent patent claims.

Accordingly, it is proposed that fastening elements, sealing elements and additional lens are made available to the customer separately, but at least the additional lens is provided separately.

Furthermore, the scope of purchase of fastening elements/sealing elements should include authorization for an additional window pane.

Because the effect and appearance of a lens can only be classified as good if it is made to measure, the lens should be made to measure. In order to take this into account in retail with little effort, the prices for the front panes are advantageously divided into size classes.

Depending on the desired approximate size of the lens, it makes sense to package the number of fasteners and seals accordingly in the scope of purchase, depending on the provider's calculation.

The buyer will then find a retrieval authorization in the purchase scope. This can be a code that allows retrieval without technical aids or enables retrieval through processing with technical aids and thus triggers the delivery of the lens to the buyer.

In the course of this retrieval, the buyer announces the required dimensions of the lens, which he has previously determined by manual measurement.

In a further development of the method, it is particularly advantageous if the retrieval authorization is included in the scope of purchase in the form of a reference element with a QR code. This reference element is self-adhesive on the back and is stuck by the buyer to the middle of the old glass of his window. Scanning the code with your smartphone opens access to the seller's sales platform and an app is loaded. This determines the dimensions of the window photographically and uses the dimensions of the reference element, which are known to the seller, for calibration.

After confirmation from the buyer, the lens will be made to measure triggered and the finished lens is subsequently sent to the buyer.

In this way, a very low-threshold option for retrofitting with additional windows is possible.
