The invention is based on a cupping applicator according to the preamble of claim 1.

Cupping applicators are used either for bloodless or bloody (after incision = scarification of the skin surface) cupping on the spot, in which the position of the cupping applicator is not changed during the cupping process, or for suction wave massage, in which the cupping applicator in the suctioned state is ideally moved from far to the heart drawn tangentially across the skin.

Cupping applicators made of hard material such as metal or glass have been known since ancient times.
Only in recent years have cupping applicators made of softer, more skin-friendly material, such as soft PVC or EVA, been increasingly used.

For example, 20 2013 003 613 describes a hand-operated cupping applicator in the form of a hollow body with an opening on the treatment side, which consists of resilient material, the restoring force of which is dimensioned such that it can be compressed to at least half its diameter by the force of a human hand and that it fully returns to its original shape after the end of the manual compression. Compressing it reduces its internal volume. The air in it is pushed out. When you let go, a vacuum is created if the applicator was previously placed on the skin surface with its treatment-side opening. Depending on its strength, this vacuum sucks a fold of skin into the interior of the cupping applicator.

However, the cupping applicator according to the above publication cannot easily be combined and used with other active elements in its interior or with external massage devices.

The object of the present invention is to develop a generic cupping applicator in such a way that it has an attachment piece which has an inner contour belonging to its interior and an outer contour as part of its outer surface, the inner contour for receiving inner parts and the outer Contour is designed to accommodate an adapter for commercial massage devices.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of the main claim.

Due to its specially shaped inner contour, the attachment according to the invention allows an inner part to be accommodated in the interior of the cupping applicator, which can contain, for example, active elements with permanent magnets, healing stones, heat-absorbing or heat-emitting elements or a compressible reservoir with ointments, lotions, etc. During the cupping or suction wave process, additional therapeutic principles such as cooling, heating, magnetic fields or healing stones can be used. Or the replaceable or refillable reservoir releases its medium onto the skin surface during the treatment, which can be finely dosed by lateral pressure, which, for example, makes the gliding process during the suction wave massage considerably easier and more efficient. With each compression, the medium is released onto the skin in small portions and distributed there, so that the mechanical stimulation can also be combined with a chemical stimulus or cosmetic applications. Since the edge of the cupping applicator exerts a certain amount of pressure on the skin when sucked in, the medium is intensively massaged into the skin, especially during translation = suction wave massage.

When used vertically, i.e. perpendicular to the skin, the cupping applicator can be operated by hand up to a certain frequency and with a maximum effort, but it can also be used as an attachment for a commercially available percussion massage device, whereby frequency and power development, if indicated therapeutically, can be significantly increased.
For this purpose, the invention provides an adapter that fits the outer contour of the endpiece and forms a secure, non-positive connection with the counterpart of the percussion massage device, for example, that does not come loose even with rapid pumping movements.
In order to achieve this goal, oppositely polarized magnets can be provided at least in the adapter and/or in the attachment piece of the cupping applicator.

In addition to the vertical pumping movement described above, the cupping applicator can be used for stationary cupping or suction wave massage. It is designed in such a way that it can be squeezed between the thumb and forefinger, for example, without excessive effort.
In this case, its cupping and suction wave function unfolds in such a way that, when compressed, it presses gently on the surface of the skin placed and then released.
The internal volume of the cupping applicator is also reduced by the initial compression. The air in it is pushed out to the same extent. When you let go, a vacuum is created if the applicator was previously placed on the skin surface with its treatment-side opening.
Depending on its strength, this vacuum sucks a more or less high skin fold into the interior of the cupping applicator.

The user/therapist can then leave the applicator in place like a conventional cupping glass for a longer period of time and resp. cup the patient dry or (after previous scarification of the skin) bloody cupping.
However, he can also pull the applicator tangentially over the skin in the sense of a translation, with the sucked-in skin fold moving with it. This corresponds to the classic suction wave massage.
This process is made easier by applying a lubricant beforehand, which is massaged into the skin at the same time; see above.

The cupping applicator consists of silicone, for example with a Shore hardness of 40 to 80, preferably 60 +/- 5.

However, other Shore hardnesses can also be used, for example in such a way that several cupping applicators with different Shore hardnesses are combined in a therapy set. In this case, it makes sense to identify the different degrees of Shore hardness/softness of the applicators with an assigned colored imprint or through-dyeing of the material so that the therapist's workflow is speeded up.
Differently sharp inner edges of the opening on the treatment side (see below) can also be clearly identified by the color coding described above or by corresponding imprints.

Instead of coloring through, transparent or even crystal-clear material can also be used so that the user/therapist can see exactly how the vacuum affects the skin surface, for example the level of the above-mentioned Skin fold or the color of the skin (paleness? redness? bluish discoloration? bruising? bleeding? opening of purulent boils?).

The cupping applicator is preferably approximately circular and is produced in one piece, for example by injection molding or by vulcanization.

The opening on the treatment side should preferably have a sharp-edged edge without a radius on the inside, which encloses an angle of at most 100°. This enables simultaneous peeling and removal of the dead horny layer of the skin during the suction wave massage described above, especially if a lubricant is deliberately avoided.

Instead, of course, types of embodiment with an inner edge rounded off in different radii are also conceivable. In this way, the peeling effect, but also the comfort of treatment (less painful with rounded edges) can be controlled in fine steps.
