Description

The invention relates to a hair length and hair tip protector consisting of a drawstring closure or the like which can be fastened at the base of the braid, a tubular fabric cover made of elastic material and a lacing which enables the user to straighten and compress the hair in the direction of the cuticle.

Sleeping and shower caps are known in the prior art, which cover the entire hair and are attached to the hairline. These are used to protect against water or other external influences, but do not protect against damage to the hair caused by friction and cannot usually be used for activities involving intensive movement to be carried.

There are also braid protection products made of leather or similar materials, which are shaped like a tube and can be opened along the entire long side, the braid is then enclosed and the device fastened again with snaps. These models are designed to hold long hair and are mainly used for motorcycling. The aim is only to prevent the hair from being twirled around and to connect the hair as tightly as possible.

There are also braid protection products (individually adapted to the hair length) made of silk or plastic. These products are also tube-like and only have an opening at the top end, the hair is previously tied into a braid and then inserted into the device, the tube is not tight and must be made individually according to the hair length.

The products known in the prior art either coat the hair too much or are too loose, and in most cases a braid must first be tied before the hair can be inserted into the product. The hair is either squeezed, which leads to pressure points or waves, or it has too much room to move and is therefore in constant friction, which can result in split ends, frizz and hair breakage.

Split ends means splitting the ends of the hair. Split ends often occur when the ends of the hair bump up in the shoulder or back area and rub against clothing.

The outer layer of hair is called the cuticle. When this layer is closed, i.e. the scales lie flat and are closely coupled to one another, the hair is supple and smooth. Frizz occurs when the scales stand up, roughening the surface of each hair. The hair no longer lies flat against each other, but jumps out of shape.

This problem is solved by the invention, since it allows the hair to be assembled in an open state, the technical implementation of the invention pulls the hair straight in the direction of the hair cuticle and gently compresses it, thereby preventing the hair from being tangled or tousled by movement or breaking off by lying on it or prevent friction. The elasticity also allows individual adjustment to the length and thickness of the hair.

The invention can be worn in a wide variety of situations, e.g. when sleeping, exercising, etc. The invention does not slip thanks to the firm closure at the base of the braid and the hair is kept in its shape (straight, wavy, curly).
