Description
The invention relates to a tubular bag for packaging goods to be transported according to the preamble of claim 1.
Generic tubular bags are produced on tubular bag machines by producing sealed seams using a film web. This means that the film web is first formed into an endless tube in the tubular bagging machine, with the tube being fixed by attaching a longitudinal seam. A transverse seam is then first cross-sealed on the endless tube in order to close the tube on one side. The goods to be transported are then filled into the tubular bag and finally the filling volume occupied by the goods to be transported is closed by attaching a second transverse seam. As part of reforestation projects to create an intact fauna, the rearing, transport and planting of a large number of plant seedlings or plant seeds are required. Since the cultivation of plant seeds and plant seedlings in particular requires special know-how and a suitable infrastructure, it is often necessary for the plant seeds or plant seedlings to be brought to the desired planting site after the cultivation. So far, this type of transport has only been possible to a very limited extent, since the plant seeds or plant seedlings are often relatively sensitive and require a high level of protection from external damage.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a novel transport option for transporting germinated plant seeds or plant seedlings from the rearing site to the planting site.
This problem is solved by a tubular bag according to the teaching of claim 1.
Vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
According to the invention, a tubular bag is provided for transporting the germinated plant seeds or plant seedlings, which can preferably be produced automatically on a tubular bag machine. During its production, this tubular bag is filled with a certain amount of plant substrate and at least one germinated plant seed or one plant seedling. After the tubular bag has been filled, it is securely closed by sealing the film web. The enclosing of the plant seedling or the plant seed by the sealed sheet of film means that it is excellently protected against any external influences and can easily be transported over longer distances or longer transport routes. By introducing the suitable plant substrate, for example a suitable potting soil, the plant seedling or the plant seed can be sufficiently supplied with nutrients. In addition, the plant substrate can absorb a sufficient amount of moisture to prevent the plant seed or plant seedling from drying out. As a result, the tubular bag can be used in the manner of a mini greenhouse, which ensures the survival of the plant even in hostile environments.
In order to ensure an adequate supply of nutrients to the plant seed or the plant seedling, it is particularly advantageous if the plant substrate contains a certain amount of plant fertilizer, in particular nitrogen. In this way, sufficient plant growth of the plant within the tubular bag can be guaranteed without any problems.
According to a preferred embodiment, it is also provided that the plant substrate in the tubular bag contains a certain amount of a gas-forming agent. This gas-forming agent is physically or chemically converted during the time between the manufacture of the tubular bag and its arrival at the planned planting site, thereby forming a gas. This additional volume of gas can then be used to cause the tubular bag to burst open, for example after a predetermined time. In order to facilitate the production of the tubular bag and the necessary introduction of the plant substrate with the plant seedling or plant seed located therein, the plant substrate can be contained in a compostable bowl. This shell can then be handled without any problems during the production of the tubular bag without the plant seedling or the plant seed being damaged in the plant substrate.
With regard to suitable plant growth, it is also advantageous if the filling volume of the tubular bag contains a certain amount of gas, in particular air.
Furthermore, the filling volume of the tubular bag should contain a certain amount of water. This moisture can be included in particular in the plant substrate.
According to a preferred embodiment, a hydrophilic membrane is provided in the film web. Through such a hydrophilic membrane, the water balance regulated inside the tubular bag. In particular, the hydrophilic membrane can absorb more or less water, or vice versa, depending on the temperature.
In order to make it easier to plant the plants at the intended planting site, it is also particularly advantageous if the film web is made of a film material that can be penetrated by plant roots. In this way, the tubular bag can be buried together with the plant substrate contained therein and the plant seedling or plant seed located in the plant substrate at the intended planting site. By opening the tubular bag, the corresponding plant growth can then be promoted, with the plant roots penetrating the film web and removal of the tubular bag is therefore not necessary.
According to a first preferred embodiment, it is provided that the film web is made of an opaque film material. In this way it is possible to prevent the plant from being irradiated with light during transport in the tubular bag, so that plant growth within the tubular bag is correspondingly slowed down or stopped.
As an alternative to this, the film web can be produced from an at least partially translucent film material. In this way, the plant in the tubular bag can also be supplied with light during transport in order to ensure sufficient light supply depending on the selected plant species.
With regard to the disposal of the film web of the tubular bag, it is also advantageous if the film web is made from a compostable film material, in particular from a film material that is unstable under UV light radiation. This is particularly advantageous if the film web is also made from a film material that can be penetrated by the plant roots. The compostable properties of the film web ensure that there is no undesirable littering of the landscape even without collecting and properly disposing of the empty tubular bags.
With regard to the most comfortable possible handling of the tubular bag, it is advantageous if the tubular bag has a tear-open aid for opening the filling volume, in particular a slit provided in a sealing seam. With regard to the stability of the tubular bag, it is also advantageous if the film web is longitudinally sealed along the longitudinal edges of the tubular bag.
So-called tubular bags known as "Stabiloseal" have a high level of mechanical stability and stability.
With regard to the design of the tubular bag, it is basically arbitrary which type of tubular bag is used to pack the plant. Stand-up pouches with or without sealed edges at the bottom fold are particularly suitable, as they are very stable. In particular, so-called block bottom bags are very well suited to ensure damage-free transport of the plant seedlings or plant seeds from the packaging location to the planting location.
An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawings and is explained below by way of example.
