Description
The invention relates to a cooler for cooling bulk goods, in particular cement clinker.
Based on this, the object of the present invention is to provide a cooler, in particular a fine material cooler for cooling fine material, which enables efficient cooling of the bulk material and is preferably particularly well suited for use in a separation cooler.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a cooler with the features of independent device claim 1 and with the features of independent method claim 15. Advantageous developments result from the dependent claims.
According to a first aspect, a fine material cooler for cooling bulk material, in particular cement clinker, has a conveyor unit for conveying the bulk material in the conveying direction, the fine material cooler having a heat exchanger which is arranged above or, for example, within the conveyor unit. The heat exchanger is preferably arranged at least partially or completely within the bulk material to be cooled, in particular in the fine material. When the fines cooler is in operation, the fines preferably have a proportion of approximately 70% to 90%, in particular 75% to 85%, preferably 80%. The coarse material is usually deposited on the conveyor unit, the fine material lying on the coarse material and thus forming the upper area of the bulk material. The heat exchanger is preferably arranged exclusively in the upper area of the bulk material formed by the fine material. In particular, the heat exchanger has a vertical distance from the conveyor unit of 20mm to 200mm.
A heat exchanger offers the advantage of a targeted heat exchange within the bulk material, so that preferably uniform cooling of the bulk material is achieved and thus the amount of exhaust air from the fine material cooler is significantly reduced. In the case of the fine material cooler, for example, at least partially indirect cooling of the bulk material via a heat exchanger with contact surfaces with the bulk material is conceivable. As a result, the amount of exhaust air from the fines cooler contaminated with dust can be minimized, since less cooling air is required for the fines cooler. The smaller amount of cooling air is then preferably provided for the transport of the fine material. By means of the heat exchanger, the heat of the bulk material is transported, for example, from the inner area of the fine material cooler to the outside or into an area located upstream in the conveying direction. There, the heat is tapped, for example, and used for heat recovery purposes.
The fine material cooler is arranged, for example, in a cooler for cooling bulk material, the cooler being a separation cooler in which fine material and coarse material are cooled essentially separately from one another. The cooler preferably has a cooler inlet for admitting bulk material to be cooled into the cooler, a separation area arranged downstream of the cooler inlet in the conveying direction of the bulk material for separating coarse material and fine material, a coarse material cooler adjoining the separation area for cooling the coarse material and one adjacent to the separation area subsequent fine material cooler connected in parallel to the coarse material cooler for cooling the fine material. In particular, a furnace for burning cement clinker is connected upstream of the cooler, the burnt cement clinker falling from the furnace through the material inlet into the cooler.
The cooler inlet area, for example, adjoins the material inlet and has, for example, a static grate which is arranged below the furnace outlet so that the bulk material emerging from the furnace falls onto the static grate due to gravity. The static grate is, for example, one in one Angle to the horizontal of 10 ° to 35 °, preferably 12 ° to 33 °, in particular 13 ° to 21 °, inclined grate through which cooling air flows from below.
In the direction of flow of the bulk material to be cooled, for example, the material inlet or the static grate of the cooler inlet area is directly followed by the separation area, in which the fine and coarse material of the bulk material are separated and then cooled separately from one another. The separation area has, for example, a static or a dynamic grate. In addition, the separation area comprises means for separating the fine material from the coarse material of the bulk material.
The fine material is, for example, bulk material with a grain size of about 10 -5 mm to 4 mm, preferably 10 -5 mm to 2 mm, the coarse material being bulk material with a grain size of 4 mm to 100 mm, preferably 2 mm to 100 mm . The separating cut between the coarse material and the fine material is preferably at a grain size of 2mm. The fine material preferably comprises a proportion of 90% to 95% of bulk material with a grain size of 10 -5 mm to 4 mm, preferably 10 -5 mm to 2 mm, with 5% to 10% of the fine material being bulk material with a grain size greater than this can act as 2mm, preferably more than 4mm. The coarse material preferably comprises 90 to 95% of bulk material with a grain size of 2mm to 100mm, preferably 4mm to 100mm, with 5% to 10% of the coarse material being bulk material with a grain size of less than 2mm, preferably less than 4mm can act. The coarse material can possibly also contain chunks of material with a grain size larger than 100mm.
The fine material cooler and the coarse material cooler preferably adjoin the separation area, these being arranged parallel to one another. The parallel arrangement of the fine material cooler and the coarse material cooler is not to be understood geometrically, but in terms of process technology. The fine material cooler can also be arranged in the geometric sense parallel to the coarse material cooler. The fine material cooler is preferably connected in parallel to the coarse material cooler in the conveying direction of the bulk material. The fine material cooler and the coarse material cooler preferably each have a dynamic grate through which a cooling medium flows in order to cool the bulk material resting on the dynamic grate. The cooling medium is, for example, cooling air that is blown through the fine and coarse material cooler by means of fans.
A separation means is arranged, for example, between the separation area and the fines cooler, the separation means extending completely or partially along a longitudinal side of the separation area. The separation means is preferably designed as a wall and the separation means extends completely in the conveying direction of the bulk material.
The separation means has, in particular, a fine material outlet for discharging the fine material from the separation area into the fine material cooler, the fine material outlet preferably being arranged completely above the aeration base of the separation area. The fines outlet of the separation area preferably represents the fines inlet into the fines cooler, the fines cooler, for example, connecting directly to the separation area or via a means of transport for transporting the fines. The coarse material is preferably in the lower area of the bulk material of the separation area, the fine material resting on the coarse material in the upper area. The separation area therefore has an upper fine material area and a coarse material area directly adjoining it below, which adjoins the ventilation base of the separation area. A fine material outlet for discharging fine material from the separation area into the fine material cooler above the ventilation base of the separation area allows fine material to preferably pass into the fine material cooler. The fine material outlet is preferably arranged in the fine material area of the separation area in which exclusively or mainly fine material is present. The coarse material area, in which mainly or exclusively coarse material is present, is preferably arranged completely or partially below the fine material outlet so that it cannot pass through the fine material outlet into the fine material cooler due to gravity. Such an embodiment preferably ensures that less than 10% to 30%, in particular 15% to 25%, preferably 20%, of the incoming material with a particle size greater than 4 mm, preferably greater than 2 mm, reaches the fines cooler. For example, the separation means designed as a wall forms a side wall of the separation area and, for example, at the same time a side wall of the coarse material cooler.
According to a first embodiment, the heat exchanger is designed as a heat pipe or comprises a coolant line which forms a coolant circuit. A heat pipe is to be understood as a tubular body which forms a completely closed cavity, the cavity being filled with a cooling fluid such as water or ammonia. A heat pipe preferably comprises a tube made of metal, such as copper, that hermetically encloses a coolant. It is also conceivable that the heat exchanger is a sheet metal or a rod made of metal, one end of which is inside the bulk material and its other end is arranged outside the bulk material, for example outside the fines cooler or below the conveyor unit.
When the fines cooler is in operation, the hot bulk material transfers heat to the heat pipe. For cooling, the coolant inside the heat pipe absorbs the heat given off by the bulk material, whereby the temperature of the pipe and the coolant of the heat pipe is increased until the boiling point of the coolant is reached, so that the coolant evaporates. The evaporation leads to an increase in pressure inside the heat pipe. The heat pipe preferably has a region which has a lower temperature, since this region of the heat pipe is actively cooled, for example, or is arranged in a cooler environment. In this area of the heat pipe, the temperature is below the evaporation temperature of the coolant, so that no evaporation of the coolant takes place in this area. This leads to a pressure differential within the heat pipe. The coolant vapor produced during evaporation preferably flows into the area of the heat pipe with the lower pressure, in particular the colder area. There the coolant vapor is cooled down and condensed. Capillary forces in the warmer area of the heat pipe ensure a flow of the coolant from the colder area into the warmer area of the heat pipe, so that a coolant circuit is created.
Heat pipes offer the advantage of efficient and reliable cooling of the bulk material, whereby an external fluid circuit can be dispensed with. This also reduces the maintenance and installation costs of the heat exchanger. The extension of the heat pipes in the conveying direction is particularly advantageous since the heat pipe extends through different temperature ranges of the bulk material and thus the coolant circuit described above is brought about within each of the heat pipes. In the conveying direction, the bulk material within the fine material cooler preferably has different temperatures, so that different amounts of heat are given off to the heat pipes. Some heat pipes are preferably arranged one behind the other in the conveying direction and spaced apart from one another, these heat pipes preferably being filled with different coolants in each case, which are particularly suitable for the respective temperature range. The coolants can be, for example, water or ammonia; other coolants can also be used for high temperatures. According to a further embodiment, the heat exchanger preferably extends completely in the conveying direction of the bulk material. In particular, the heat exchanger extends from an area within the cooler with a low temperature into an area with a higher temperature. For example, the heat exchanger extends out of the bulk material, preferably into the ambient air outside the housing of the fine material cooler. The heat exchanger extends, for example, from a rear area of the fines cooler in the conveying direction into an area below the conveyor unit, which is preferably arranged in a front area of the fines cooler.
According to a further embodiment, a plurality of heat exchangers are arranged within the fines cooler. For example, the heat exchangers are arranged parallel to one another. The heat exchangers designed as heat pipes are arranged separately from one another and fluidly separated from one another.
It is also conceivable that the heat exchanger comprises a coolant line which forms a coolant circuit. The coolant line preferably extends at least partially through the bulk material and has a return which extends through an area with a lower temperature, preferably outside the bulk material or the housing of the fine material cooler. The coolant line is connected, for example, to a cooling device for active or passive cooling of the coolant. The coolant is, for example, thermal oil.
According to a further embodiment, a plurality of guide elements for guiding the fines within the fines cooler are arranged in the fines cooler. According to a further embodiment, the guide elements are plate-shaped. The guide elements preferably extend transversely to the conveying direction and are arranged, for example, parallel to one another and, in particular, evenly spaced from one another. For example, the guide elements extend over the entire width of the fines cooler. The guide elements are preferably arranged within the bulk material, in particular within the area of the bulk material, which mainly comprises fine material, and are at a distance from the conveying unit. In particular, the guide elements are arranged at a distance from the aeration base, so that the coarse material is arranged below the guide elements. For example, the guide elements are at a distance of 20mm to 200mm, in particular 50mm to 150mm, preferably 100mm, from the ventilation base. The guide elements ensure a thorough mixing of the bulk material, in particular the fine material, whereby a more uniform temperature distribution is achieved. Furthermore, the guide elements ensure a flow resistance in the flow of fines, so that the speed of the flow of fines is limited.
According to a further embodiment, the heat exchanger is attached to one of the guide elements. Each heat exchanger is preferably attached to a respective guide element. It is also conceivable that the heat exchanger is designed as a guide element, in particular plate-shaped, and extends at least partially or completely transversely or parallel to the conveying direction. The use of the heat exchanger enables indirect cooling of the bulk material.
According to a further embodiment, the conveying unit comprises a first conveying unit for conveying coarse material and a second conveying unit for conveying fine material. The conveyor unit has, in particular, a ventilation base, which is designed as a grate, for example, and on which the bulk material rests. The first conveying unit for conveying the coarse material is preferably arranged in such a way that only the coarse material lying on the aeration floor can be conveyed by means of the first conveying unit. The first conveyor unit is preferably arranged in such a way that it only conveys the lower region of the bulk material in which the coarse material is located. The coarse material layer has, for example, a height of 20mm to 200mm, in particular 50mm to 150mm, preferably 100mm.
According to a further embodiment, the first conveyor unit has a plurality of conveyor elements which can be moved simultaneously in the conveying direction and non-simultaneously against the conveying direction. According to a further embodiment, the second delivery unit is a pneumatic delivery unit. The first mechanical conveying unit preferably comprises a ventilation base, for example a grate and a plurality of conveying elements which can be moved simultaneously in the conveying direction and non-simultaneously against the conveying direction. The conveying elements are, for example, planks, preferably grate planks, which, arranged next to one another, form a ventilation floor. The conveying elements can be moved in conveying direction F and against conveying direction F. The conveyor elements designed as conveyor planks or grate planks can preferably be traversed by cooling air, are arranged over the entire length of the fine material cooler and form the surface on which the bulk material rests. It is also conceivable that the mechanical conveyor unit comprises, for example, a stationary ventilation base through which cooling air can flow and a plurality of conveyor elements that can be moved relative to the ventilation base. The conveying elements are preferably arranged above the aeration base and have drivers running transversely to the conveying direction. To transport the bulk material along the aeration base, the conveying elements can be moved in the conveying direction and against the conveying direction. The conveying elements are preferably movable according to the “walking floor principle”, the conveying elements all being moved simultaneously in the conveying direction and non-simultaneously against the conveying direction. The conveying elements of the mechanical conveying unit preferably extend exclusively into the area of the bulk material in which the coarse material is present.
According to a further embodiment, other conveying principles from bulk material technology can also be used as an alternative to the walking floor conveying principle.
The pneumatic conveying unit for conveying the fine material preferably has a plurality of fans for subjecting the fine material to a flow of cooling air. The fans are preferably arranged below the ventilation floor so that the cooling air flow flows through the ventilation floor into the bulk material lying on it. In particular, the fans are designed and set up in such a way that they fluidize the fine material and transport it in the conveying direction. In addition, the second conveyor unit of the fines cooler is designed, for example, as a mechanical conveyor unit.
According to a further embodiment, the pneumatic conveying unit for conveying the coarse material has a compressed air device for applying compressed air to the coarse material, for example in the conveying direction. The compressed air device preferably comprises a compressor for generating the compressed air and a plurality of compressed air inlets, which are designed, for example, as channels pointing in the conveying direction. The compressed air inlets preferably extend through the ventilation base or are arranged above the ventilation base. The channels pointing in the conveying direction ensure reliable transport of the coarse material along the aeration floor in the conveying direction.
The invention also comprises a method for cooling bulk material, in particular cement clinker, with a fine material cooler having a conveying unit for conveying the bulk material in the conveying direction, with heat being extracted from the bulk material in a rear area of the fine material cooler by means of a heat exchanger and in a front area of the fine material cooler is fed. The embodiments and advantages described with reference to the fine material cooler also apply to the method for cooling bulk material in correspondence with the method. The heat is preferably extracted by means of a heat exchanger, such as, for example, a heat pipe.
In particular, the method also includes a method for cooling bulk material in a cooler, having the steps: letting in to cooling bulk material from an oven through a material inlet into the cooler, separating fine material and coarse material, the coarse material having a grain size that is larger than that of the fine material, in a separation area of the cooler, cooling the fine material in the fine material cooler and cooling the coarse material in a coarse material cooler separate from the fine material.

Heat pipes require little maintenance and are easy to install. A coolant circuit is not required. For cooling, the coolant inside the heat pipes absorbs the heat given off by the clinker to be cooled. The heat input from the clinker bed increases the temperature of the pipe and the coolant of the heat pipe until the boiling point of the coolant is reached, so that the coolant evaporates. When the coolant evaporates, the temperature no longer rises and all of the energy supplied is converted into heat of evaporation. In particular, the coolant evaporates in the region of the heat pipes which is arranged within the clinker to be cooled. The evaporation leads to a pressure increase that takes place locally in the area within the clinker bed where the heat input takes place. In the area of the heat pipes which is arranged outside the clinker bed or in an area with a lower temperature inside the clinker bed, there is preferably no evaporation of the coolant. This leads to a small pressure drop inside the heat pipe. The resulting coolant vapor preferably flows into the area with the lower pressure, in particular the area of the heat pipes which is outside the clinker bed or in an area with a lower temperature inside the clinker bed. Outside the clinker bed, the heat pipe has a lower temperature, which leads to cooling and the associated condensation of the coolant. The liquid portion of the coolant in each case flows back into the area of the heat pipes with the increased temperature, in particular due to capillary forces. The proportion of liquid coolant is preferably less than the proportion of gaseous coolant.
