Es wird ein Sauna- und Badehandtuch vorgeschlagen, welches als Bademantel tragbar ist. Das Handtuch muss hierzu in einer ersten Richtung sowie in einer dazu senkrechten zweiten Richtung jeweils eine derartige Ausdehnung aufweisen, dass es bei einer Person zumindest für ihren Kopf, ihren Rumpf sowie die neben dem Rumpf abgelegten Arme als Unterlage dienen kann. Optional ist das Handtuch so groß, dass es neben Kopf, Rumpf und Armen auch für die Beine als Unterlage dient. Handtücher entsprechender Größe werden als Saunahandtuch oder als Badehandtuch bezeichnet. Im zusammengefalteten Zustand beanspruchen ein derartiges Handtuch und ein zusätzlicher Bademantel viel Platz, weshalb zum Besuch entsprechender Einrichtungen stets eine große Tasche notwendig ist.
