Description

The present invention relates to a massage device and a vehicle seat with a massage device.

Adaptation arrangements for vehicle seats are known from the prior art, in which a contour adaptation unit performs a seat adaptation. Massage units are also known from the prior art, which are intended to increase the seating comfort of a person sitting on the vehicle seat. For this purpose, the massage unit is alternately energized or acted upon with fluid in order to enable fatigue-free sitting.

The contour adjustment unit and the massage unit are provided separately from one another and installed in a vehicle seat. However, if both a contour adjustment unit and a massage unit are arranged in a vehicle seat, these two units take up a lot of space and additionally increase both the complexity of the installation process and the complexity of the vehicle seat itself.

It is also known from the prior art to provide the contour and massage unit with the same element in so-called lordosis massage elements. This means that an air chamber is used for both contour adjustment and massage, in that the contour adjustment is slightly varied by a basic adjustment position. The disadvantage of this device, however, is that optimal contour support cannot be guaranteed during the massage.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a massage device and a vehicle seat with a massage device which provide both a massage function and a contour adaptation, with both the space requirement and the complexity of the massage device being reduced.

This object is achieved by a vehicle seat according to claim 1.

A massage device with at least one massage element and with at least one contour adjustment element is presented below.

In order to make the massage device particularly space-saving and also simple, the at least one massage element and the at least one contour adjustment element are arranged on a common carrier element. The at least one massage element is preferably provided on one side of the carrier element and the at least one contour adjustment element on the other side of the carrier element, whereby a type of combined functional mat can be provided that provides both a contour and a massage function with very little space required. Furthermore, conventional vehicle seats can also be retrofitted with such a massage and contour adjustment device.

Since the carrier element lies between the at least one massage element and the at least one contour adjustment element, a separate carrier element for the at least one massage element and the at least one contour adjustment element can be dispensed with, which in turn reduces the thickness of the massage device. In addition, the combination of massage and contour adjustment functions in a massage device reduces the effort required to install the massage device in a vehicle seat.

The carrier element is preferably formed from a film, a fleece and / or a felt. Depending on the material of the carrier element, the carrier element can, for example, dampen or intensify an effect of the at least one massage element and / or the at least one contour adjustment element. As a result, an interaction between the at least one massage element and the at least one contour adjustment element can be increased or reduced by a suitable choice of the material for the carrier element.

According to a preferred embodiment, the at least one massage element and / or the at least one contour adjustment element is at least partially formed by the carrier element, whereby the complexity of the massage device can be further reduced. Embodiments are also preferred in which the massage device has at least one massage element and / or contour adjustment element which has a plurality of chambers that can be acted upon by fluid. The chambers can be formed in one piece via a special shape of the film, but it is also possible to build the chambers of the at least one massage element and / or the at least one contour adjustment element from several layers of films. Two adjacent foils can each form a chamber between them.

An embodiment is particularly preferred in which the massage device is formed from a film with an uneven number of layers. For example, in one exemplary embodiment, the massage device is formed from a three-layer film, with the massage element and / or contour adjustment element in turn being formed as an element that can be acted upon by fluid. Furthermore, an embodiment is advantageous in which the film layers of the massage device themselves are preferably reversibly elastic films.
