The present invention relates to a process for producing a feed substance which can serve as a feed additive or as a semi-finished feedstuff. In particular, the invention relates to a feed substance for fish, crustaceans and mussels. In addition, it relates to such a feed substance which has been produced by the process.
Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention
However, it should be noted that it is not easy to use any biochar for feeding fish, crabs and bivalve molluscs, especially in aquaculture. Not every natural product, nor any marine plant material, is equally well suited for aquaculture use. Thus, after the charring process, contaminants may persist in the results, which make it difficult to grow fish, crabs and mussels, cause a high work intensity or make the final product inferior in quality. Also, the preparation of the marine biomass is of considerable importance for this application, as negative influences on the aquaculture water quality in the application of state-of-the-art processes and products should not be underestimated.
The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a method according to which terrestrial and marine biogenic raw materials are processed so that they can be used as feed substance in land and aquatic aquaculture, while they affect the water quality and the growth and the positive Optimally support the quality of the farmed animal.
The object is achieved by the method with the features of claim 1, wherein the dependent claims 2 to 5 describe further embodiments. The feed additive prepared by this process is described in the independent claim 6. Its subclaims 7 to 12 represent embodiments.
The process for producing a feed substance is characterized in that biofuel is produced from forest residue wood and marine biomass, the forest residue wood and the marine biomass being present in a mixing ratio of 50% to 95% forest residue wood and 5% to 50% marine biomass. These raw materials are further processed in a gentle, thermally reduced process and then loaded with mineral, microbial and enzymatic additives. This improves the desired properties during use. For delivery to the end user, the substance is then dried and finally conditioned. On the one hand, the packaging and transport are facilitated, on the other hand, so storage and dosage easier.
In one embodiment of the method according to the invention, the gentle, thermally reduced method is a vapothermal method with a process temperature of 160-220 degrees Celsius. Upon exposure to steam, carbonization of the forest residue wood and marine biomass is achieved. At the same time, important properties are not destroyed for the water quality and growth of the bred animal.
According to a further embodiment of the method according to the invention, the forest residue wood essentially comprises hardwood. Soft woods, deadwood and bark parts are minimized by pre-sorting or conditioning in advance. Softwoods and deadwood should account for less than 10% each, and bark for less than 15%, so as not to reduce the quality of forest residues.
According to a further embodiment of the method according to the invention, it is provided that the maritime biomass consists of macroalgae, wherein the marine biomass is freshly harvested before use in the process. The macroalgae may be brown-green or red algae, but also the use of seaweed is provided. The fresh Harvesting is important because it helps minimize the amount of sand and makes the carbon structure most stable. If necessary, the biomass can be freed by washing in advance of the carbonization of the sand portions, which should be used for desalination fresh water.
In a further embodiment of the method according to the invention, the freshly harvested maritime biomass is added to production residues from the processing of macroalgae to cosmetics, food supplement products and medical devices.
The feed substance according to the invention, which has been prepared by the process according to claim 1, comprises biochar from forest residue wood and marine biomass. Forest residue wood and marine biomass are present in a mixture ratio of 50% to 95% forest residue wood and 5% to -50% of marine biomass.
In one embodiment of the feed substance according to the invention, the forest residue wood essentially comprises hardwood. Most of the substances that are important for the further use of the feed substance are included here. Softwoods, deadwood and bark are disturbing influences.
According to a further embodiment of the feed substance according to the invention, the maritime biomass consists of macroalgae. In particular, brown, green and red algae as well as seaweed are preferred here.
In a further embodiment of the feed substance according to the invention, the maritime biomass consists of macroalgae and an admixture of production residues from the processing of macroalgae to cosmetics, food supplements and medical devices. With consistent quality, the amount of freshly harvested macroalgae needed can be reduced.
According to a further embodiment of the feed substance according to the invention, the sand content of the feed substance is less than 5%. If necessary, a purification of the biomass can be done in order to achieve the product-specific required sand content.
According to a further embodiment of the feed substance according to the invention it is provided that montmorillonite (bentonite) and / or kaolin and / or trace elements from algal lime and / or microorganisms and / or other water-purifying additives are included. In particular, the microorganisms provide for the binding of nitrogen compounds, heavy metals and negative intestinal germs. This can reduce the cycle of changing water in aquaculture facilities.
Finally, in one embodiment of the feed substance according to the invention it is provided that it is powder or fine granules or compactate or pellet. Thus, warehousing, transport and in particular also needs of the animals to be fed can be observed.
It is advantageous to recognize that the presented feed substance can be added as a semi-finished product in proportions of the basic feed, whereby an adaptability to the state of development and the type of fish, crabs or mussels to be fed can be done. The prescribed limit values of the EC Regulation 178/2002 as well as the requirements of the European Biochar Certificates (EBC) are complied with. The feeding of the feed substance improves the growth rate and the health of the animals as well as the water quality in aquaculture facilities.
