Um die Laufbahnqualität des Lageraußenringes sicherzustellen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass in der Mitte des Lageraußenringes ein Steg mit zylindrischer Außenform vorgesehen ist. Seitlich neben diesem Steg können Ummantelungen angebracht werden, die als positive Kalotte ausgebildet sind. Diese Ummantelungen, die vorzugsweise aus PA46 oder PTFE-Kunststoff und ggfs. mit Carbon-Anteilen ausgebildet sind, sind bedeutsam, um den Verschleiß zwischen der positiven und der negativen Kalotte zu reduzieren.
