Description
The invention relates to a process for producing a yarn which provides zinc oxide. The invention further relates to a corresponding yarn and a use.
Polymeric yarns are the basis of a large proportion of the currently available textiles. Synthetic yarns are characterized by an advantageous combination of properties that combine tear and abrasion resistance with high elasticity. Further advantages of the synthetic yarns are low water absorption and high dimensional stability.
There is a desire to further improve the compatibility of textiles made of synthetic yarn fibers for human skin. One approach to this is to maintain skin care substances in the textiles and to continuously transfer the care substances from the textiles to a user. As an example, it may be provided to deliver care substances from clothing textiles to human skin of a wearer of the corresponding article of clothing. However, such a procedure is not easy to implement.
Against this background, the object of the invention is to produce a polymer-based yarn, with which the delivery of a care substance can be successfully brought about.
The object is achieved with a method for producing a yarn having the features of claim 1, with a yarn having the features of claim 12 and with a use having the features of claim 16.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen.Advantageous developments emerge from the subclaims.
- A.
- A.
- Providing a polymer bulk material,
- Providing ZnO bulk material having ZnO particles,
- Providing thermal stabilization bulk with organic antioxidants,
- B. Generating a bulk mixture by metering in the ZnO bulk material and the stabilizing bulk material to the polymer bulk material in an extruder,
- C. melting and homogenizing the bulk material mixture in the extruder into a melt,
- D. conveying the melt under high pressure through a spinneret to make a filament.
The process according to the invention therefore provides that a polymer raw material for melt spinning is provided. The provision of the polymer bulk material is usually carried out by procurement of an industrially produced and marketed for large-scale processing polymer granules. The ZnO particles and the thermal stabilization substances are preferably provided as so-called masterbatches available for use in, for example, melt spinning processes.
The correspondingly procured polymer granules are mixed with the ZnO-containing masterbatch and with the masterbatch containing an organic antioxidant, usually with stirring. The polymer bulk takes up the largest part by weight of the bulk material, while the remaining part by weight, the antioxidants and ZnO has a small proportion by weight of the bulk material. Preferably, said components polymer bulk, ZnO bulk material and stabilization bulk except for unavoidable impurities 100 wt .-% of the bulk mixture, so that apart from these mentioned no other starting materials are used for the production of the yarn.
For melt spinning, the above-mentioned melting of the bulk material mixture and its homogenization are carried out first. The resulting melt is hereafter, if enough high temperature, passed through a spinneret of one of the melt spinning device to produce a filament or a number of multiple filaments.
The invention is based on the finding that the provision of a suitable amount of organic antioxidants in a polymer filament comprising zinc oxide particles causes the yarn produced with one or more polymer filaments to release zinc oxide under certain conditions. In particular, it has been found that such a release of zinc oxide or of one or more zinc compounds takes place under conditions that may be present, inter alia, when the yarn is in contact with human skin. The inventors have been able to demonstrate that the filament or yarn produced could, moreover, also retain the positive properties known for synthetic yarns.
In an advantageous development, the polymer bulk material consists of one or more thermoplastic polymers. The polymer bulk material preferably comprises polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate and / or polyamide.
The polymer bulk material particularly preferably consists of polyamide 6.6. This means that 100% by weight or nearly 100% by weight of the polymer bulk material consists of polyamide 6.6, with technical impurities being admitted in the usual practice.
In particular, it may be provided that the proportion of zinc oxide in the bulk material mixture is between 0.1% by weight and 1.0% by weight, preferably between 0.375% by weight and 0.750% by weight.
For example, a masterbatch may be used which contains between 25% by weight and 50% by weight of zinc oxide and moreover consists of polyamide, preferably polyamide 6.6. Such a masterbatch may, for example, constitute 1.5% by weight of the bulk material mixture if between 25% by weight and 50% by weight of the ZnO masterbatch according to its specification are present as ZnO.
In a masterbatch which was preferably used, ZnO was present in the form of nanoparticles with d (50) of 0.5 μm and d (90) of 1 μm, so that 90% of the particles have a mean extension of less than 1 μm and 50% of the particles have a mean extension of less than 0.5 microns.
The term ZnO can preferably be understood as Zn 0.5 O 0.5 , but also as a collective name for non-stoichiometric compounds of zinc and oxide.
For example, it may be provided for the organic antioxidants that they occupy between 0.025% by weight and 0.20% by weight, preferably between 0.05% by weight and 0.125% by weight, of the bulk material.
Antioxidants based on sterically hindered phenols and amines have proved to be highly suitable organic antioxidants, preferably additionally in combination with phosphite.
As with the ZnO particles, the organic antioxidants may also be provided in the form of a masterbatch, for example in the form of pellets. In particular, it can be provided that, in cases where, according to specification, between 10% by weight and 25% by weight of the masterbatch consists of the antioxidants, 0.5% by weight of the bulk mixture consists of the antioxidant masterbatch. Typically and most preferably, a polyamide-based antioxidant masterbatch is also present, preferably polyamide-6,6-based or at least high in polyamide-6,6. But even on other polymer base, such as polyamide-6-based, present masterbatch can be accepted and thus provided due to the resulting only minor effect on the composition of the polyamide portion of the filament to be produced.
As advantageous spinning temperatures, melt temperatures at the outlet of the spinneret between 270 ° C and 290 ° C have been found, with an optimum flow behavior at temperatures between 278 ° C and 280 ° C was observed. However, with differently designed melt spinning devices, the temperature may be slightly different. Such deviations are familiar to the person skilled in the art and can easily be taken into account by the latter.
Efficient production, which is preferred for the production of suitable filaments, has proven itself with the use of spinning apertures with a maximum extension of 0.25 mm, with good results even at maximum extensions between 0.20 mm and 0.30 mm.
In one embodiment, the spinneret has a circular spinning orifice with a diameter between 0.15 mm and 0.40 mm, preferably between 0.23 mm and 0.27, particularly preferably 0.25 mm.
As spinning pressure, the pressure with which the spun material is conveyed through the spinneret, values between 120 bar and 250 bar were identified as suitable.
According to a development of the method it is provided that the spinneret identifies a number of several spinning openings. Characterized in that a plurality of spinning orifices are arranged on the spinneret, when conveying the melt through the spinneret several filaments are produced, so it is a so-called filament yarn produced.
It is known to those skilled in the art that adjusting a quench temperature for quenching the filament yarn, a winding speed of a take-up reel winding the filament yarn, and selecting the geometry and number of spinning apertures will affect the orientation of the molecules in the filaments. According to the invention, it is provided that the said parameters are coordinated with one another in such a way that a fully or partially oriented yarn is provided by the take-up device when the filament yarn is removed. For example, the winding speed of the take-up device may be on the order of several thousand m / min, for example between 3000 m / min and 6000 m / min. The term fully or partially oriented yarn, often also referred to under the acronyms LOY, POY, HOY or FDY, is familiar to the person skilled in the art, so that this will not be discussed further.
In particular, after the intermediate step described above, the fully or partially textured yarn may be subjected to a post-treatment comprising texturing, stretching and / or fixing the yarn.
One aspect of the invention relates to a yarn which provides a ZnO active ingredient and which is prepared by a method of the type described above.
The yarns produced by the inventors have at least one filament with a single denier between 1.0 dtex and 4.0 dtex. Especially preferred are yarns with a larger number of filaments, all filaments having the same single denier being between 1.0 dtex and 4.0 dtex. Having a same individual titre should allow deviations of up to 30% of the average of the individual titers of the filaments of the yarn.
Furthermore, one of the illustrated yarns is provided in a textured design. Especially preferred are yarns which after texturing have a titre dtex 22/7, dtex 44/13, dtex 44/34 or dtex 78/68.

- - a maximum pulling force related to the individual titre (in accordance with

- - a medium crimping (according to

One aspect of the invention provides that a textile product is produced from the yarn or one of its developments according to the invention, which is used for the continuous delivery of zinc oxide to the human skin, in order thereby to develop cosmetic or skin care effects. It is irrelevant to the essence of the invention, Zn 0.5 O 0.5 or present in other oxidation states present zinc oxide in the transfer.
The production of the yarns produced in the inventive step and their properties are explained in more detail below by way of example:
As an example, a polymer bulk was provided which consisted of 98% by weight of a polyamide 6.6 granules having at least a 99% (by weight) portion of polyamide 6.6. Furthermore, thermal stabilization masterbatch present as thermal stabilization bulk material in pellet form was added, wherein 0.5% by weight of the bulk material mixture consisted of the stabilizing bulk material and this in turn corresponding to the attached technical data sheet between ≥ 10 wt .-% to ≦ 25 wt. -% antioxidant had. The antioxidant in the experiment was N, N'-hexane-1,6-diylbis [3- (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenylpropionamide], which was present as a masterbatch.) As a carrier, the masterbatch had polyamide 6, so that a small proportion of the filament produced does not consist of polyamide 6.6, but of polyamide 6.
Als ZnO-Schüttgut wurde ein Polyamid-Masterbatch mit einem ZnO-Gehalt mit ≥ 25 Gew.-% und ≤ 50 Gew.-% verwendet. The ZnO bulk material used was a polyamide masterbatch having a ZnO content of ≥25% by weight and ≤50% by weight.
- Spinntemperatur: 279 °C,
- Wickelgeschwindigkeit: 4500 m/min,
- Trocknertemperatur: 95 °C,
- Durchmesser der kreisrunden Spinnöffnungen: 0,25 mm.
- Spinning temperature: 279 ° C,
- Winding speed: 4500 m / min,
- Dryer temperature: 95 ° C,
- Diameter of the circular spinning openings: 0.25 mm.
The term tolerance limits is not to be understood in the sense of the DIN standard mentioned in each case, but refers to internal limit values of the testing laboratory.
The textured yarn has been investigated in some studies for its suitability for continuous delivery of zinc oxide to human skin.
According to one measurement, a drug transfer due to mechanical stress was checked by means of an abrasion tester. A normal indoor climate support simulation was performed in which the fabric sample was rubbed on standardized skin replacement material over a distance of 5 cm at seven cycles per minute for 42 minutes, which corresponds to a real load of several hours' wear.
To simulate a sweat entry, the textile was moistened.
The amount of zinc transferred from the textile to the technical skin was detected by chemical analysis.
After carrying out the simulation under normal room climate, a content of 1.6 mg / kg zinc / skin was found, which corresponds to an active ingredient slip of 2.26 mg / m² zinc / skin.
With the method according to the invention and its advantageous developments, it was possible, due to the combination according to the invention of an organic antioxidant with ZnO particles in suitable amounts in a suitably adapted melt spinning method based on polyamide, to provide a fabric yarn which can be produced inexpensively and which is advantageously provided for a large number of controlled substance transfers For example, for the transfer of zinc oxide to human skin for care applications.
