Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Schlüssels für ein Kraftfahrzeug. Gegenüber einem denkbaren Spritzgussverfahren birgt diese Ausführungsform den weiteren Vorteil, dass eine aufwändige Herstellung von Formen und deren Wechsel entfällt. Im Vergleich zu abtragenden Verfahren wie Schneiden, Drehen oder Bohren zeichnet sich die vorgeschlagene Ausgestaltung zudem durch ihren geringen Materialverbrauch aus.
