The invention relates to a method and a device for switching energy sources for a respirator with at least one primary energy source and at least two secondary energy sources, wherein the secondary energy sources are charged in parallel from the primary energy source and discharged in series, for supplying at least one consumer ,
Description
B. in Deutschland 230 V 50 Hz) angeschlossen. This invention serves to provide important functions of a ventilator with electrical energy when a primary energy source has failed. The ventilator is connected via a power supply to the supply network (local AC mains eg in Germany 230 V 50 Hz). The power supply powers the device. The internal operating voltage is between 12 V and 48 V, depending on the device. If the device is equipped with an accumulator, its nominal voltage is arranged in the same range. Power supply and / or accumulator are thus used in regular operation as a primary source of energy. Since in the case of failure of the primary energy source, the electric motor is no longer supplied with energy, the patient can no longer be ventilated. Therefore, especially in life-sustaining ventilation an energy failure alarm is necessary. This is usually a secondary source of energy responsible.
Object of the present invention is to provide an improved power supply in case of failure of the primary energy source. In the case of a device with two primary energy sources (battery and power supply), this applies to the failure of both energy sources or an energy source.
The object is achieved by a method for switching power sources for a respirator with at least one primary energy source and at least two secondary energy sources, wherein the secondary energy sources are charged in parallel from the primary power source and in series, to supply at least one consumer, discharged ,
The object is also achieved by a circuit arrangement for a ventilator with at least one primary energy source and at least two secondary energy sources wherein the secondary energy sources are charged in parallel from the primary energy source and in series, to supply at least one consumer, discharged.
The secondary energy sources are advantageously designed as SuperCap capacitors. Supercapacitors (also called ultracapacitors) are electrochemical capacitors and, as such, a further development of the double-layer capacitors.
The switching of the secondary energy sources is advantageously carried out using simple and inexpensive analog switching elements, eg. B. MOSFET switching transistors. The switching of the secondary energy sources, for example, after detection of a power interruption of the primary power source to activate the failure alarm. It basically has the purpose of being able to use a much larger proportion of the charge stored in the capacitors.
Such low efficiency is economically disadvantageous. Therefore, it makes sense to connect the capacitors in series for discharge.
The efficiency is thus improved by the series connection of the super capacitors by 25% to 75%. Thus, the cost-intensive super-capacitors can be used much more economically.
The motor of the ventilator is realized, for example, as a multi-phase motor. As a motor brushless and sensorless DC motors and synchronous motors can be used. In the area of the device housing is a control panel for the user information and / or user control. Preferably, the ventilator is portable and optionally has a power supply that maintains ventilation for at least 2 hours if the device is not powered by a power plug. The mobility can be extended by the additional connection possibility to the on-board network of a vehicle (over 12 or 24 Volt) or to a corresponding other energy supply. In a device interior, a breathing gas pump is arranged, which is designed for example as an electric motor with fan, the operation of which is controllable via an engine control. The operation of the engine and its power control can be controlled by the engine control. The engine controller considers data from at least one sensor device. The sensor device determines at least one signal associated with the respiratory gas flow. An analyzer determines, for example, inspiratory phases and expiratory phases from the signal associated with the respiratory gas flow. In at least one operating state, the engine controller regulates the fan speed as a function of the determined respiratory phase such that a substantially constant positive pressure is maintained during the inspiration phase. The motor is designed so that a pressure range can be set by changing the speed. Pressure changes are realized for example by speed changes of the fan.
