Description
The invention relates to a wound dressing for wound treatment, in particular in a moist or moist environment, with a wound pad, wherein the wound pad manufacturer can be treated with a salt-containing aqueous solution, in particular Ringer's solution, and added in an outer packaging, wherein the wound pad manufacturer for delivery to the consumer in a one-level unfolded configuration is presented.
The above-mentioned Ringer's solution is typically an aqueous solution with sodium chloride, potassium chloride and calcium chloride (especially 8.6 g NaCl, 0.3 g KCl and 0.33 g CaCl 2 per liter).
The present invention is based on the object of applying the wound dressing from the outside against a body or skin surface of a patient surrounding the wound. Since then, secondary dressing agents have been used for this purpose. This proves to be time consuming. Therefore, the attachment of the wound dressing should be improved.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a wound dressing of the type mentioned above in that a peripheral adhesive coating is provided on a projecting beyond the wound pad layer in a circumferential direction, wherein the edge adhesive coating surrounds the wound pad in the circumferential direction continuously, and that the edge side Adhesive coating areas of the layer projecting beyond the wound pad are folded over by the manufacturer on at least four fold lines on the wound side facing away from the wound pad, so that the fold lines enclose the wound pad in the circumferential direction, and that the folded areas manufacturer side of at least one detachable protective layer which is parallel to the plane.
According to a first embodiment of the invention, in a first step, corner regions of the wound dressing and, subsequently, edge regions lying between these corner regions are transferred to the site facing away from the wound. For this purpose, it is proposed that the wound dressing is approximately rectangular or square, and that four, in particular rounded, corner regions of the layer projecting beyond the wound pad and having the edge-side adhesive coating are provided, and the four corner regions are folded over the respective side facing away from the wound pad by one fold line, and in that four regions of the layer between the corner regions are in turn folded over in each case one fold line on the wound side facing away from the wound pad, so that they at least partially cover the previously folded corner regions and that these folded over areas are covered with the at least one removable protective layer. For application, the wound dressing is again positioned on the patient, covering the wound. Then, the protective layer or a first portion of the protective layer is peeled off, but advantageously not necessarily a first folded portion is folded against the skin surface of the user, as described above. After gently pressing this adhesive area against the skin surface, the wound dressing is positioned and the remaining areas can be folded back accordingly. In the course of manufacture, the four corner areas folded over on the wound-side facing away from the wound dressing then remain. These corner areas are finally folded radially outward in the direction of the skin surface of the user and adhered.
In a further development of this variant of the invention, it is proposed that the four corner regions of the layer projecting beyond the wound pad and having the edge-side adhesive coating are each overlapped with a peelable film which extends in accordance with the corner regions, so that the regions folded thereon do not adhere thereto. The fact that the corner areas are covered by the manufacturer with a peelable peel film, can be prevented according to the invention that the subsequent folded on the side facing away from the wound on the previously folded corner areas too strong and complicate a detachment in the course of applying the wound dressing on the patient.
As already indicated above, the at least one detachable protective layer can also have two or more separate protective layer sections which can overlap one another and, in particular, can be detached independently of one another such that, upon detachment of the protective layer sections, two opposite folded-over regions are folded back around their fold line and the two other folded areas remain essentially unaffected. This facilitates the detachment of the protective layer. In addition, it may prove to be advantageous if, upon detachment of the protective layer or of the several sections of the protective layer, an associated region carrying the adhesive coating is folded into its intended position on the patient by means of the protective layer.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it proves to be advantageous that two first regions of the layer projecting beyond the wound pad and having the marginal adhesive coating are each folded over the fold of the wound pad, in particular tangent to the wound pad, on the wound side of the wound pad the fold lines preferably run parallel to one another, and that the folded-over regions are overlapped by a detachable first protective layer, and that two second regions of the layer projecting beyond the wound pad and having the edge-side adhesive coating each have a fold line which particularly tilts the wound pad the wound-facing side of the wound pad are folded over, wherein the fold lines are preferably parallel to each other, and that the folded-over second areas of a detachable two th protective layer are covered. In this embodiment, therefore, a separate refolding of the corner regions is omitted. Rather, two opposite edge regions are folded over by the manufacturer, and then a first removable protective layer is applied. Following this, the two further opposite edge regions, together with the first protective layer, are folded over by the manufacturer by two further fold lines, and the second protective layer is then applied. This embodiment proves to be easier to handle insofar as the Refolding of the corner areas is eliminated. For application, the wound dressing is again positioned and, after detachment of the uppermost second protective layer, the second, opposite edge regions can be folded back, ie, folded in the direction of the skin surface of the patient, whereby the wound dressing is fixed. Next, all that needs to be done is to peel off the first protective layer then exposed and to fold back the two first edge regions towards the patient and fix them to the patient with their adhesive surfaces.
Conveniently, the two first and the two second fold lines are substantially orthogonal to each other.
If the wound dressing is used in a moist or damp-moist environment and this is already supplied by the manufacturer with a salt-containing aqueous solution, it is advantageous if the edge-side adhesive coating is protected by the manufacturer from direct contact with the aqueous solution. This can be achieved, for example, by coating those areas of the layer projecting beyond the wound padding on the edge side of the adhesive layer with a water-impermeable layer on the manufacturer side. This layer can also be the abovementioned removable protective layer. In this case, however, liquid access could still take place in the plane of the wound dressing, ie between the adhesive-coated edge region and such a protective layer. To solve this problem is proposed in a further development of the invention that the edge-side adhesive coating on the projecting beyond the wound pad layer of an inner and an outer circumferentially continuous and self-contained, in particular made of silicone bead radially inwardly and radially outwardly limited with the bead slightly raised from the layer on its sore side. This bead can then act as a radial seal between the edge-side adhesive coating bearing layer and the protective layer.
According to a further exemplary embodiment, it is proposed that the layer projecting beyond the wound pad and having the marginal adhesive coating on the side facing the wound have circumferentially continuous and self-contained / recessed deep-drawn grooves, in which the adhesive coating is in particular approximately flush-mounted or slightly protruding. By forming the deep-drawn grooves, a receiving space for the adhesive is created, which can be relatively easily and effectively sealed by a liquid-tight protective layer.
As already mentioned, it proves to be advantageous if the wound pad is formed by a particular fiber fleece-based suction / rinsing body. A foam-based suction / rinsing body would be conceivable.
Advantageously, the wound pad comprises a covering forming the outer visible sides of the wound dressing. It can then be formed with further additives, such as superabsorbent particulate materials. By wrapping the wound pad can be held together in a compact manner as a flat layer.
In an advantageous manner, the wrapping on the wound-facing side of the wound dressing comprises a layer of a textile sheet material, in particular of a knitted fabric, knitted fabric or fabric. As a result, a fluid access and in particular a fluid exchange between the wound pad and the wound space is made possible, since the aforementioned textile sheet materials are liquid-permeable.
Furthermore, it proves to be advantageous if the wrapping on the side of the wound dressing facing away from the wound comprises a fiber fleece layer which forms the wound-facing outer visible side of the wound dressing, and in that a liquid-impermeable plastic film layer is arranged on the wound-facing side of this fiber fleece layer. Through this liquid-impermeable plastic film layer, a liquid-tight closure of the wound can be achieved.
Furthermore, it proves to be particularly advantageous if the nonwoven layer, the plastic film layer, the wound pad and the layer of textile sheet material are not connected to each other areally, but with their flat sides loosely and slidably against each other, the nonwoven layer, the plastic film layer, the wound pad and the layer of textile sheet material are connected to one another only along a circumferential edge of the wound pad by a joining connection, in particular an ultrasonic joining connection. The fact that the wound-facing outer visible side of the wound dressing is not formed by a plastic film layer but by a fiber fleece layer as in the prior art product improves the tactile and haptic graspability of the wound dressing, even by means of instruments, since the fiber fleece layer is less slippery than a plastic film layer , but also in the wet state can be described as handy. Furthermore, the appearance and feel, especially in contact with the gloves of the nursing staff and with the body surface of the patient, improved. Furthermore, it proves to be advantageous that the flexibility and the drapability of the wound dressing according to the invention is improved. It has surprisingly been found that the plastic film layer, which is not arranged on the outside but on the wound-facing side of the fiber fleece layer, does not hinder the flexibility and drapability of the wound dressing, which is also attributed to the fact that the layers are not connected to each other in a planar manner but only along the edge of the wound pad that they lie according to the invention with their flat sides only loose and displaceable against each other.
In particular, in a further development of this embodiment, it proves to be advantageous if at least one of the layers forming the covering of the wound pad forms the layer projecting beyond the wound pad and having the edge-side adhesive coating. According to this inventive idea, therefore, the wrapping of the wound pad, in particular of the absorbent / rinsing body, or a layer of this wrapping is at the same time used to form the layer projecting beyond the wound pad, which receives the edge-side adhesive coating.
The mentioned visible non-woven fiber layer can be formed from thermoplastic fiber material, in particular from polyolefin, in particular from polypropylene.
The basis weight of the nonwoven fabric layer on the side of the wound dressing facing away from the wound is preferably 15-100 g / m 2 , preferably 20-60 g / m 2 , particularly preferably 25-40 g / m 2 .
Furthermore, it proves to be advantageous if the density of the fiber fleece layer on the side facing away from the wound dressing is 10-1000 kg / m 3 , preferably 50-250 kg / m 3 , particularly preferably 100-150 kg / m 3 .
It also proves to be advantageous if the liquid-impermeable plastic film layer is formed from a thermoplastic material, in particular from polyolefin, in particular from polypropylene.
It also proves to be advantageous if the liquid-impermeable plastic film layer has a basis weight of 5-100 g / m 2 , preferably 8-50 g / m 2 , particularly preferably 10-25 g / m 2 and a thickness of 5-100 μm, preferably 8 -50 microns, more preferably 10-25 microns.
It proves to be advantageous if the wound pad is designed as a fiber fleece-based absorbent / rinsing body and comprises cellulosic fibers, in particular a mixture of cellulosic fibers and thermoplastic fibers, in particular polyolefin fibers, in particular polypropylene fibers or polypropylene / polyethylene fibers.
Dabei beträgt das Flächengewicht des Faseranteils des Saug-/Spülkörpers vorteilhafterweise 20 bis 500 g/m2, bevorzugt 30–300 g/m2, besonders bevorzugt 30–200 g/m2, insbesondere 30–150 g/m2.The weight per unit area of the fiber portion of the absorbent / rinsing body is advantageously 20 to 500 g / m 2 , preferably 30 to 300 g / m 2 , particularly preferably 30 to 200 g / m 2 , in particular 30 to 150 g / m 2 .
It proves to be advantageous if the density of the fiber portion of the suction / Spülkörpers 20-500 kg / m 3 , preferably 30-300 kg / m 3 , more preferably 50-200 kg / m 3 . It also proves to be advantageous if the layer of textile sheet material is formed from a thermoplastic material, in particular from polyolefin, in particular from polypropylene.
Furthermore, it proves to be advantageous if an atraumatic-acting coating is provided partially and structured on the wound-facing side of the wound pad or the absorbent / rinsing body. The degree of coverage of the partially and structured applied atraumatic coating is 20-70%, in particular 25-50%, in particular 30-40%. It proves to be further advantageous if the partially and structured applied atraumatic coating is formed strip-shaped. The strips can be linearly extended. They preferably run parallel or equidistant from each other. The width of a strip is advantageously 1 to 3 mm. The distance between the strips is advantageously 4 to 8 mm, in particular 4 to 6 mm.
Weiter erweist es sich als vorteilhaft, wenn die Wundauflage derart ausgebildet ist, dass das im Wundkissen aufgenommene superabsorbierende Material anionisch ist und negative Gruppen aufweist und dass die wässrige Lösung eine Substanz mit antimikrobieller Wirkung umfasst, bei der es sich um Silberkationen, Biguanid oder Biguanid-Derivate, bevorzugt Polyhexamethylenbiguanid (Polyhexanid, PHMB), Polyguanidine, N-Octyl-1-[10-(4-Octyliminopyridin-1-yl)decyl]pyridin-4-imin (Octenidin), quartäre Ammoniumverbindungen, Triazine oder die Ammoniumverbindung Taurolidin handelt, und dass diese Substanz mit antimikrobieller Wirkung bei pH-Werten von 4–7,5 eines typischen feuchten oder feuchtnassen Wundmilieus kationisch geladen vorliegt und daher von negativen Gruppen des anionischen superabsorbierenden Materials attraktiv angezogen wird und so innerhalb des Saug-/Spülkörpers antimikrobiellFurthermore, it proves to be advantageous if the wound dressing is designed such that the superabsorbent material absorbed in the wound pad is anionic and has negative groups, and that the aqueous solution comprises a substance with antimicrobial activity, which is silver cations, biguanide or biguanide Derivatives, preferably polyhexamethylene biguanide (polyhexanide, PHMB), polyguanidines, N-octyl-1- [10- (4-octyliminopyridin-1-yl) decyl] pyridin-4-imine (octenidine), quaternary ammonium compounds, triazines, or the ammonium compound taurolidine and that this antimicrobial substance is cationically charged at pH values of 4-7.5 of a typical moist or wet-tissue wound environment and is therefore attractively attracted to negative groups of the anionic superabsorbent material and thus antimicrobial within the absorbent / rinsing body
wirkt. The weight per unit area of the superabsorbent material within the suction / rinsing body is preferably 30-150 g / m 2 , in particular 50-100 g / m 2 , in particular 60-80 g / m 2 .
