Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a mobile phone case, which has a protective effect against electromagnetic radiation.

Mobile phone cases are more commonly used in a variety of forms. Often these are flexible fabric or silicone sleeves. Such casings can provide some protection against impact. In particular, when it comes to the protection against pressure, have cases in the form of hard shells on significant advantages.

In addition to protection against pressure or impact, protection against mobile phone radiation has gained in importance in recent years. In 2011, mobile phone radiation was classified as potentially carcinogenic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Numerous studies have emerged by the time of the application suggesting a cytotoxic effect, for example by the formation of reactive oxygen species (eg singlet oxygen). There is evidence of an increased health risk for frequent callers and children. Although there is currently insufficient knowledge to be able to conclusively assess the risk, precautionary measures are recommended by the Federal Office for Radiation Protection in order to minimize the risk in this regard. In particular, it is recommended to keep cell phone calls short and use landline phones instead. It is also recommended that the distance between the head and the mobile phone is as large as possible, and that mobile phones with low SAR values be used.

Furthermore, for example, handsets have been developed for handsets that do not emit when the handset is on the base station. On mobile phones, however, such an approach is not transferable without significant limitations of the basic functions, as they should be ready to send and receive on the go. Also, the above-mentioned approach provides only limited remedy. The largest radiation exposure results when telephoning.

Also, it is often not possible without a mobile phone altogether. Business people, in particular, usually have to remain available on business trips. Even today smartphones are used for a variety of purposes (card services, online access, emails, etc.), so that a waiver would be associated with significant restrictions.

For this reason, mobile phone cases have been developed that completely or partially shield the radiation.

The DE 101 11 063 A1 describes a phone case for a cordless phone with an interior that is both soundproof and radio-proof. The phone case may be a rigid housing or a flexible enveloping body. Such a complete and comprehensive shielding has the disadvantage that the accessibility is not guaranteed.

The WO 20011/038517 relates to an elastic shielding shell, wherein the backside is made radiation permeable. The front is flexible and shields electromagnetic radiation.

The DE 199 29 077 A1 describes a silver fabric for the shielding of electromagnetic radiation.

The DE 196 08 189 A1 describes a cover for mobile phones made of a material that shields electromagnetic radiation. The antenna usually remains free and the shielding is done by metal filaments.

The US Pat. No. 8,718,729 B1 discloses a bag for a mobile phone with a hinged lid. The front shields electromagnetic radiation partially and has openings to ensure the sound transmission.

The EP 1 526 603 A1 discloses an upper and a lower part of a mobile phone shell, wherein the upper part is transparent to radiation.

The CN 203388421 describes a radiation shield with a hinged top and bottom.

The CN 201556426 relates to a copper container for charging mobile devices. Again, the radiation is at least partially retained.

The DE 10 2007 010 657 describes a bag for mobile devices. This has an inner and an outer pocket, the outer pocket is shielded only on one side against radiation. This has the advantage that a complete shielding or telephoning - as desired - is possible.

A disadvantage of the prior art arises from the fact that the closure in a bag or a hinge assembly does not close completely secure. Even a narrow gap can have adverse effects on radiation protection. One solution is to make a flexible bag significantly longer than the mobile phone (see. DE 10 2007 010 657 ). However, such a bag can provide no protection against a pressure load.

Another disadvantage of the aforementioned radiation protection measures is that usually two hands are needed to open the bag or the bag. For example, it is not easy to open a hinged lid without using a second hand. In particular, since mobile phones are usually used in the majority of cases when the person concerned is on the move and may not have both hands free (for example, because a suitcase or a travel bag is in the other hand), this represents a significant problem.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a protective cover that effectively keeps radiation away from the head and body while telephoning. Furthermore, an optimal protection against physical influences such as shock or pressure should be offered. Also, the protective cover should be open with one hand. Furthermore, a quick and easy access to the control buttons and possibly the touch-sensitive display of the cell phone to be enabled.

The object is achieved by a mobile phone case, comprising a sliding cover and a receiving area for a mobile phone and at least one guide element, wherein the receiving area has a bottom wall, a first side wall and a second side wall opposite the first side wall, wherein the sliding cover along the at least one guide element displaceable is stored and comprises a shielding material for electromagnetic radiation.

It has surprisingly been found that a sliding cover is particularly well suited to effectively shield cellphone radiation. Furthermore, it has surprisingly been found that such a sliding lid can be opened particularly easily, although shielding material for electromagnetic radiation is included. Protection against impact and pressure is also guaranteed.

A mobile phone case according to the invention is a resealable container for the mobile phone.
