Abstract
It is a knit and a method for its production specified, which allows to produce on a knitting machine with a predetermined distance of two needle beds spacer knitted fabrics of different thickness or locally variable thickness.
Description
The invention relates to a Abstandmaschenware and a method for its preparation.
Spacer knitwear is a type of three-dimensional knitted or knitted fabric. They have two knitted cover layers between which there is a knitted spacer layer. The spacer layer consists of filaments which have high stiffness compared to the filaments used to knit the cover layers and preferably extend substantially straight from one cover layer to the other cover layer into which they are knitted at intervals.
Spacer knit fabrics are made on flatbed knitting or knitting machines wherein the threads used to make the various layers are placed in different needles of two spaced needle beds. The spacing of the needle beds essentially specifies the distance between the two cover layers in the spacer knitwear.
The distance of the needle beds is an important basic variable of a knitting machine. As a rule, it can not be changed by a user of the machine, or only with a great deal of conversion work.
Nevertheless, there is a need for spacer fabrics having different spacing of the cover layers.
By the present invention, a distance knitwear is to be specified, in which the manufacturer of the goods can vary the distance of the outer layers without retooling the production machine. Furthermore, a method for producing such a product is to be specified.
These objects are achieved by a spacer knitted fabric having the features specified in claim 1 or a production method having the features of
According to the invention, use is made of the fact that, in a spacer knitted fabric, the thread sections of the spacer layer do not extend exactly perpendicular to the planes of the two cover layers, but rather extend inclined thereto. This results from the fact that the spacer layer thread is entangled with the cover layers only at intervals which correspond to a multiplicity of meshes of the cover layers. Roughly speaking, the course of a spacer thread is an oblique zigzag curve with slightly rounded tips.
If, in such an arrangement, the expansion of the cover layer is changed, for example if the spacing of the meshes is reduced there, the attachment points of the spacer layer thread are correspondingly displaced in the cover layer plane. When shortening the mesh spacing of the cover layer, they are made steeper. This steepness results in an increase in the distance between the outer layers.
This dimensional change of the cover layers can be produced according to the invention by knitting the cover layers at least partially from a shrinkable thread and subjecting the entire cover layer after treatment to a treatment which leads to a contraction of the cover layer. This treatment may typically be a heat treatment which releases tensile stresses, frozen in the yarn, which have been generated, for example, by stretching, so that the yarn contracts and thus also the covering layer.
Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in subclaims.
In a spacer fabric according to claim 2 typically have the two cover layers same or similar mechanical properties in terms of strength, flexibility, air permeability, haptics, etc.
In a spacer knitted fabric according to claim 3, the thread arrangements, each comprising a knitted thread or a plurality of threads, at least partially have good flexibility at a larger volume. It is thus possible to produce visually and fluidly thick cover layers with good flexibility of the spacer mesh. The knitting of a heavy distance knit fabric can be done quickly because a plurality of threads are knitted at a time with each row.
The development of the invention according to claim 4 is advantageous in terms of good flexibility of the spacer.
The development of the invention according to claim 5 is again in view of a rapid production of a higher material density having knit fabric advantage.
If a thread according to claim 6 has both shrinkable portions and non-shrinkable portions, the non-shrinkable filaments are placed in waves or loops upon contraction of the shrinkable filaments, so that the thread gets a larger volume, greater abundance. This too is advantageous in terms of the feel of the finished material.
If one chooses multifilament yarns according to claim 7, the resulting knitted fabric has a particularly pleasant feel and good flexibility.
The claims 8 to 10 relate to preferred threads for the production of Abstandmaschenware.
The measure of claim 11 determines the inclination angle at which the sections of the threads of the spacer layer running between the cover layers are inclined to the plane of the cover layers. In this way, with the same choice of material of the thread used for the spacer layer can specify by what amount the thickness of the Abstandmaschenware is increased during shrinkage of the thread material. If the thread sections of the spacer knitwear are strongly inclined to the normal of the cover layers, as is the case with a large spacing of the attachment points to the cover layers, then the thickness of the spacer knit fabric is greatly increased during shrinkage. If this distance is small, the individual sections of the spacer thread are only slightly tilted and the thickness of the goods increases only slightly. If the distance between the attachment points of the spacer layer to the cover layers is already inherently small, then the sections of the spacer thread are already inclined from home not strongly to the vertical plane of the fabric, and when shrinking the outer layers only a small further erection takes place.
If the sections of the spacer thread in the finished spacer mesh are aligned substantially perpendicular to the cover layer planes, then these sections of the spacer threads are subjected to buckling. This means that they initially oppose a great resistance to deformation and then quickly yield after a first deflection from the rest geometry.
If the sections of the spacer threads are already clearly inclined out of the vertical in the case of unloaded spacer mesh, the load on the spacer threads during compression of the spacer mesh is essentially a bending load. One can then realize spring characteristics that show approximately linear course.
A distance of the attachment points of the meshes of the spacer layer to the cover layers, as indicated in
With the measure according to claim 13, one can vary the spring characteristic of the Abstandmaschenware in the direction of the courses.
In a knitted fabric according to
In a Abstandmaschenware according to claim 15, the spring properties and possibly the handle change in the direction of the courses in the vertical direction.
The materials for the cover layers or the spacer layer specified in
With the method according to claim 19, a knit fabric can be produced which exhibits different shrinkage behavior in the row direction.
The method according to
The method according to claim 21 is particularly advantageous with regard to the knitting of fine cover layers, which should have fine stitches.
With the method according to
B. in bestimmter Geometrie angeordnete Vertiefungen. With the method according to the invention it is also possible to produce spacer knitwear having a surface pattern, e.g. B. arranged in certain geometry wells. This can be achieved, on the one hand, by varying the attachment points of the spacer thread to the cover layers, and, on the other hand, by entangling different threads in different regions of the spacer fabric. These may differ in their mechanical properties, in particular their diameter and their shrinkability, but also in their optical properties, in particular the color, or else in their equipment. For example, in the area of a spacer fabric that often comes into contact with skin, one may use threads provided with silver nanoparticle equipment.
In the method according to
With the method according to claim 25, a Abstandmaschenware is produced in which the cover layers have already undergone a large part of the shrinking process. But you still have a residual shrinkage capacity. This can be used if a cover after longer use time wrinkles and re-tensioned. You can also make use of it when a reference for a seat is mounted on a corresponding frame. You can then easily slip the cover over the frame and get afterwards but a firm bias of the cover over the frame.
The developments of the
