Abstract

The invention describes a furniture system, in particular a shelf / room divider system, with the possibility of expanding it with a cabinet element. A special feature of the product according to the invention is the completely concealed connecting elements (), which upgrade the visual appearance of the furniture system. The effect of z. B. wooden spars and wooden shelves is in no way disturbed by assembly elements. The shelving system basically consists of two different, visible elements: the horizontal shelves and the vertical bars. Necessary mounting elements are in this case either from the same material, eg. As wood, but disturbing by their shape and size in the overall view of the furniture, or from another, firmer material, such as metal, and thus detrimental to the overall impression of the furniture. Shelving systems that were designed for their visual appearance, however, are then usually less flexible and little adaptable to individual needs and space. Furthermore, stable wood-wood compounds are not non-destructively solvable without having to accept a plastic deformation (damage) in purchasing.

It was therefore necessary to solve the problem of designing a furniture system which, on the one hand, is visually appealing in that it contains no visible mounting elements. In addition, it should be flexibly combinable and thus adaptable to individual needs. This also results in the requirement of the simplest possible installation and non-destructive disassembly in order to respond to changing environmental conditions individually. The furniture system should allow both open areas (shelf elements) and closed areas (cabinet elements) and make these individually combinable. The concept allows a wide variety of combinations, as all bars and all shelves can be exchanged and combined completely freely. Extension to a shelf with integrated cabinet

The side and back wall parts of the cabinet are fundamentally identical in their design. This reduces the variety of parts in the best possible way. Their attachment is made by the shelving system in such a way that those are fixed by the attachment of the narrowing shelves. For the edge design of the wall elements, so the contact surface with the bars, there are two different options: The first variant comes without tools. Here, the wall elements are designed so that they are clamped between the bars of the cabinet set ( ). For this purpose, the outer edges of the wall elements are recessed round inside or provided with an inner miter. However, this variant is for soft materials, eg. B wood, less suitable, since there are very thin spots on the wall element, which does not ensure the necessary support (especially in the planned installation of a hinge on the side wall element). In addition, the usable space in the cabinet is greatly reduced. The second, and preferable, variant is that the wall part is held by an additional mounting element. In this case, the side wall can be displaced slightly outwards in comparison to the first variant in order to increase the usable interior space. The offset is preferably chosen so that the inner wall surface lies in a plane with the beam axes.

The execution of the contact surface between the wall element and spars can in turn be performed differently. In two variants are shown. On the one hand the possibility to provide the wall element with an isosceles external miter (left). However, even here, the material thickness is very narrow exactly at the loaded contact surface. The second variant (right) shows a way to reduce the load by extending the contact surface up to a right-angled outer miter. This variant is to be preferred.

In order to fix the side elements completely, an additional mounting element is necessary. This "wall holder" ( ) is used in the area of the cabinet sales at the affected bars. In this case, it is fixed in a groove on the front side of the spars so that it is held horizontally and vertically by the spars, but still can be moved about its axis of rotation. This is the only way the wall bracket can be aligned exactly to the wall plane after mounting the spars. To be able to use the wall holder, corresponding grooves must be inserted both in the spars for the cabinet set, as well as in the side elements. In addition, these two components must be shortened on one side something. There are some boundary conditions to consider when selecting a hinge to fix the cabinet doors. On the one hand, the wall elements are offset relative to the spars. This results in two different hinge dimensions being necessary. Due to the thickness of the wall boards of 18 mm, however, it is appropriate here, this height difference by matching cross-mounting plates ( hatched) and to use only a matching hinge type. A special feature of the hinges is that they bridge the space of the bars by their mechanism and ensure this freedom in their movement. The product according to the invention is highly flexible in the individual design of the dimensions. In addition, the modular design of individual, standardized components means that a small variety of components is necessary. Furthermore, the inventive compound of the round rods with the shelves allows a uniform, optical line, which is not disturbed by visible connecting elements. The wall bracket, which is simple and cost-effective to produce, allows the rack to be extended by a cupboard set without the connecting element becoming visible and without destroying the appearance of the entire system.
