Description
The present invention relates to a biogas device and a method for operating a biogas device.
In biogas plants or biogas facilities substrates such as organic materials are biologically decomposed and degraded by microorganisms, bacteria and / or enzymes. This biogas is released, which contains in particular methane, which serves as the main usable energy source in biogas. This creates, optionally, depending on the composition of the material to be decomposed, a dynamic, biological balance between different types of microorganisms such as bacteria that are able to break down different materials. Due to the complexity of the biological processes and different starting substrates, the methane content in the biogas is usually not constant over time and can sometimes vary considerably. Even if a constant substrate of the same kind is fed or fed into the biogas device, the composition of the biogas produced, in particular with respect to the methane content, is generally not constant and varies unpredictably. However, a constant methane content may be beneficial in the operation of biogas burning or converting engines or energy sources. However, manipulation or interference with the processes occurring in the production of biogas in a biogas facility can lead to disruption or destruction of the equilibrium, which can significantly affect the production of biogas. A biogas facility can even "tip over" in such a way that it has to be pumped out and completely refilled so that a new equilibrium can be established. However, this process can continue for several weeks, during which no efficient operation of a biogas facility can be carried out. Substrate degradation also produces a variety of different by-products and intermediates that can affect the biological balance.

In the context of this description, a biogas device may be designed to carry out one or more phases or steps in order to decompose a biodegradable substrate, for example to provide a biogas usable as an energy carrier, which may in particular contain methane. It is conceivable that a control device has one or more computers and / or microprocessors and / or microcontrollers and / or integrated circuits. A controller may include appropriate hardware and / or software and / or firmware. In general, each sensor device can be assigned a control device to which it is able to transmit sensor data. In this case, a plurality of sensor devices may in each case be assigned a common control device. It is conceivable that control devices are connected or connectable to each other for data transmission and / or control. One or more of the control devices can be designed to control valves and / or one or more pumps and / or one or more compressors and / or other controllable elements of the biogas device. For this purpose, suitable control lines and / or control channels and / or supply lines can be provided. An energy gas container may generally be a container which may be designed or provided for receiving and / or producing methane. In particular, an energy gas container can be a process container such as a methanogenesis container or a storage container for methane-containing biogas, for example methane or biogas produced in a methanogenesis container. It is also conceivable that an energy gas container designates or comprises a methane reactor, which is designed to produce methane from starting materials such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen or other energy gases under pressure and / or temperature, in particular without the described biodegradation taking place. It is conceivable that a methane reactor is designed to be supplied with carbon dioxide and / or hydrogen from a hydrolysis tank. It can be provided that a methane reactor or a container provided for storing methane or biogas has no inlet or outlet for the substrate. An energy gas container and / or at least one associated line for supplying or discharging gas may include a gas sensor device for directly or indirectly detecting a content and / or an amount and / or a pressure, in particular a partial pressure, and / or a volume and / or a Volume flow and / or flow rate of an energy gas such as methane and / or hydrogen. In particular, a methanogenesis tank may have a methane sensor device which is capable of detecting the methane content of the generated biogas. Alternatively or additionally, such a methane sensor device may be connected downstream of the methanogenesis container, for example in a line for biogas and / or an associated biogas storage device. As a substrate, any type of biologically usable substrate can be provided which can be fermented or degraded to methane in a biogas facility. In particular, the so-called farm manure, such as cattle or pig manure, chicken manure (HTK - dry chicken dung), solid manure with high straw content (up to 20% or a high C / N ratio of up to 16: 1) are included. In addition to farm manure, renewable raw materials and organic residues can be used for energy purposes. These include corn / maize silage, cereals (whole plant silage), for example rye, triticale, grass / silage, cereal grains, beets (sugar or feed beets), beet pulp, but especially landscape care material (foliage, green waste) or Paludikulturen (reeds, sedges, reed canary grass ). Some of these substrates are difficult to implement because they are high Have proportions of lignocellulose. For example, when using grass silage it has often been necessary to ensure that the dry matter (TS) content is not too high, if possible not above 35% by weight DS. If the TS contents are too high, the lignin and fiber contents increase, as a result of which the degree of degradation and thus the methane yield based on the organic dry mass have so far dropped significantly. Further raw materials for energy recovery would be crop residues but also agro-industrial residues (vegetable / Obstreste, grains, yeasts, whey, etc.) and municipal waste (slaughterhouse / biowaste).

The present invention relates to a biogas device with a hydrolysis container, which is used to carry out a hydrolysis on a biodegradable substrate, wherein in the hydrolysis, a carbon dioxide-containing hydrolysis gas is formed. The biogas device furthermore has a carbon dioxide removal device, which is capable of removing carbon dioxide contained in the hydrolysis gas from the hydrolysis tank. By means of this discharge device, the discharged carbon dioxide is fed to an energy gas container or is supplied. Thus, the carbon dioxide can be usefully continued to be used. The carbon dioxide and / or hydrolysis gas may generally be substantially gaseous and / or removed. The discharge device can have a gas sensor device designed as a hydrolysis gas sensor device or be connected or connectable to it. The hydrolysis gas sensor device can in particular be designed to have a carbon dioxide content in the hydrolysis gas and / or a gas volume, in particular a carbon dioxide volume, and / or a gas quantity, in particular a carbon dioxide amount, and / or a gas volume and / or gas flow rate, in particular a carbon dioxide volume flow or carbon dioxide flow rate, and / or a gas pressure, in particular a partial pressure of carbon dioxide, to detect directly and / or indirectly. A sensor device for detecting a parameter relating to the carbon dioxide may be referred to as a carbon dioxide sensor device. The carbon dioxide may be generally removed by discharging hydrolysis gas from the hydrolysis vessel and / or together with one or more components of the hydrolysis gas. Alternatively or additionally, the carbon dioxide can be separated off from one or more or all the other components of the hydrolysis gas. The discharge device may further comprise at least one outlet valve and / or one or more other valves, and / or at least one pump and / or a compressor, and / or at least one conduit for supplying the carbon dioxide to the energy gas container and / or be connected or connectable. It is conceivable that the discharge device is designed to discharge carbon dioxide into a storage device and / or into the environment. The biogas device, in particular the discharge device, can be designed to monitor and / or adjust and / or adjust the pressure, in particular the partial pressure of carbon dioxide, and / or the composition of the gas within the hydrolysis container. For example, a gas monitoring device for monitoring and adjusting the carbon dioxide and / or at least one suitable gas sensor device, for example a carbon dioxide sensor device, and / or a suitable control device and / or at least one device for increasing and / or reducing the pressure of the hydrolysis gas may be provided Drain valve and / or an inlet valve and / or a compressor. It can be provided that the biogas device is designed to introduce stored hydrolysis gas and / or carbon dioxide and / or ambient air into the hydrolysis vessel, for example to blow it, and / or to remove gas from the hydrolysis vessel, for example by draining and / or pumping out, for example by means of removal device. The adjustment and / or control may be based on data from a carbon dioxide sensor device and / or a carbonic acid content in the substrate or other operating parameters, which may be provided by corresponding sensor devices, optionally connected to a control device. Thus, by changing the carbon dioxide content and / or the pressure over the substrate, the behavior of the substrate and / or the course of the hydrolysis phase and / or the acidogenesis can be influenced. The energy gas container can generally be designed as part of the biogas device and / or provided separately from it and connected to the biogas device or connectable. It may be provided that hydrolysis gas and / or components of the hydrolysis gas can be discharged independently of and / or separately from the substrate from the hydrolysis tank and / or fed to the energy gas tank. The removal device can be designed to selectively and / or activated discharge hydrolysis gas from the hydrolysis tank, for example into the atmosphere, and / or to supply it to the at least one energy gas container and / or a carbon dioxide storage.
The biogas device may have at least one separation device, which is capable of separating at least one component of the hydrolysis gas from the hydrolysis gas. In particular, the separating device may be designed to separate one or more components from a hydrolysis gas stream discharged or removed from the hydrolysis gas container. The separating device may be designed to separate the carbon dioxide and / or to separate at least one other component, wherein the carbon dioxide with further remaining components can be dissipated. The separating device can be integrated into the discharge device and / or be connected or connectable. In this case, the separating device of the discharge device upstream and / or downstream. It is conceivable that the separating device has several components in order to carry out a separation in several steps. In each case at least one component of the discharge device upstream and / or downstream and / or integrated therein. The separation device may in particular be designed to separate off hydrogen sulfide from the hydrolysis gas, for example to fix it. The separation device and / or one or more components of the separation device can be arranged or can be arranged in the hydrolysis container and / or in the energy gas container and / or in between, for example in lines. As a result of the separation, it is possible to separate, for example, harmful and / or otherwise usable components of the hydrolysis gas.
The separating device may have at least one filter device and / or at least one cooling device and / or at least one condensation device and / or at least one retaining device and / or at least one screening device, which is capable of separating at least one component of the hydrolysis gas therefrom. A filter device may comprise, for example, activated carbon and / or a liquid filter and / or a sieve filter and / or other filter materials or structures. It is conceivable that the separation device additionally or alternatively has a fixing device which is capable of separating hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) from the hydrolysis gas and / or fixing, for example by one or more methods selected from the following group: filtering by coal, oxidative processes , Addition of zinc oxide, addition of iron compounds, in particular iron salts or iron chelates, bioscrubbers / trickling filter method, sulfite precipitation. Iron compounds / iron salts which may be mentioned in particular are iron (II) and / or iron (III) compounds, for example Fe (II) Cl 2 , Fe (III) Cl 2 , Fe (II) SO 4 , Fe (III) 2 (SO 4 ) 3 , Fe (II) hydroxide, Fe (III) hydroxide, Fe (II) oxide, Fe (III) oxide, turf iron, in particular limonite (FeO (OH) n H 2 O). By the separation / fixation of the H 2 S elemental sulfur is recovered, which can be fed back to a use - can be. It is also possible in the context of H 2 S fixation, a biological desulfurization, in which the H 2 S is dissolved in water and oxidized there by sulfur bacteria. Here, first elemental sulfur, then sulfate is generated. The direct oxidation of hydrogen sulfide to sulfate is possible. Separation of the hydrogen sulfide, which may also be referred to as desulfurization, prevents the sulfur or hydrogen sulfide from adversely affecting processes and / or facilities provided in the energy gas container, such as methanogenesis and / or methane reactor and / or process gas downstream processes or affect equipment such as engines or combustion processes. It can be provided as a separator biofilter, bioscrubber or a trickle filter system. Such a fixing device may be considered as an example of a hydrogen sulfide restraining device.
It can be provided that the biogas device has a container for generating biogas usable as an energy source from substrate treated in the hydrolysis container and / or is connected thereto or connectable. Such a container may be a methanogenesis container. The substrate can be supplied to the methanogenesis tank via suitable means from the hydrolysis tank, for example after a suitably selected and / or monitored residence time in the hydrolysis tank. It can be provided that in the residence time, the first and / or second phase of the substrate degradation is substantially complete, so that no further degradation is to be expected.
It can be provided that the discharge device for supplying carbon dioxide is connected or connectable to at least one methanogenesis tank and / or an energy gas tank arranged downstream of it. Through the supply, generally the carbon dioxide and / or the carbon dioxide-containing gas mixture can be mixed with biogas and / or methane. In this case, the methane content of the resulting mixture can be reduced. The supply of carbon dioxide can be controlled or controllable based on data from a hydrolysis vessel associated carbon dioxide sensor device and / or based on data from the methanogenesis tank associated and / or downstream methane sensor device. In particular, the biogas device can be designed, for example by suitable programming of a control device, to control a carbon dioxide feed through the discharge device in such a way that a substantially constant methane content is present. It can be provided, for example, that a supply of carbon dioxide takes place when the methane content in the biogas and / or in the - methanogenesis tank exceeds a certain threshold. The threshold may be below, in particular well below, the maximum methane content achievable by the methanogenesis tank. Thus, a constant methane content of the biogas can be achieved in a simple way, whereby the biogas is also suitable for use in sensitive modern engines and combustion equipment or fuel cells.
Alternatively or additionally, the at least one energy gas container can be a biogas storage and / or a biogas line. The storage and / or the line can be connected downstream of a methanogenesis tank. Thus, by the supply of carbon dioxide and any other components of the hydrolysis gas, which flow with the carbon dioxide, the process conditions are not affected in the methanogenesis tank.
In a development, the at least one energy gas container may comprise a container for receiving hydrogen, in which hydrogen can be reacted with carbon dioxide to form methane. Such a container may be a methane reactor. Thus, the carbon dioxide from the hydrolysis tank can be used for chemical conversion into methane. The methane reactor may be configured to provide a suitable reaction temperature or heat of reaction to facilitate the conversion of hydrogen and carbon dioxide into methane as efficiently as possible. For this purpose, a suitable heating device can be provided, which can be operated and / or supplied with energy, for example, thermally and / or geothermally and / or solar thermally and / or by a burner and / or an electric heater and / or by waste heat. Methane produced in a methane reactor can be fed via a suitable transport device to a biogas reservoir connected downstream of the methanogenesis vessel and / or to a downstream pipeline. The transport device may include lines, a sensor device, a valve device and other required components. The supply of methane can be carried out based on data from a Methanogenesebehälter assigned and / or downstream methane sensor device. For example, it can be provided that a control device is designed to control a methane feed from the methane reactor such that a desired, in particular a constant, methane content of the biogas produced in the methanogenesis tank is achieved. For example, the supply of methane from the methane reactor can take place when a methane content of the biogas has fallen below a certain value. Thus, the methane content can be kept constant by supplying carbon dioxide and / or supplying methane from the methane reactor.
In particular, the container for receiving hydrogen, such as the methane reactor, be supplied with waste heat or be supplied, the waste heat in particular from at least one process vessel of the biogas device, in particular the hydrolysis and / or removed from a methanogenesis tank or can be discharged. Thus, the process heat generated during degradation of the substrate can be reused. In particular, the methane reactor can be arranged close to and / or in direct contact with the process container (s) in order to minimize the heat losses during heat transport.
It is conceivable that a methane reactor is supplied or can be supplied with hydrogen from a process vessel, in particular the hydrolysis vessel, and / or with hydrogen produced by electrolysis. This makes it possible to use other components of the hydrolysis gas for methane production. The hydrogen from the hydrolysis vessel may be provided by not separating hydrogen and carbon from the hydrolysis gas and passing it directly to the methane reactor. A hydrogen sensor device and / or a carbon dioxide sensor device and / or a methane sensor device may be provided in order to provide the data concerning the hydrogen or the carbon dioxide for the activation of the methane reactor. The hydrogen sensor device and / or the carbon sensor device can each be arranged in the methane reactor and / or in each case upstream thereof in lines for the supply of hydrogen and / or carbon dioxide. The methane sensor device can be arranged downstream of the methane reactor or this. Based on such data, the supply of carbon dioxide and / or hydrogen via the discharge device and / or hydrogen from another source and / or the removal of methane from the methane reactor can optionally be controlled or activated, for example by driving controllable components of the discharge device and / or the transport device and / or suitable valve devices which are capable of adjusting the supply of hydrogen and / or carbon dioxide and / or the removal of gas, in particular methane, from the methane reactor. It is conceivable that an electrolysis device for the production of hydrogen by splitting water is provided. For supplying the electrolysis device with electric current, a suitable power supply, in particular a photovoltaic device and / or a wind power device, may be provided and / or connected to it or connectable. Alternatively or additionally, a further hydrogen source may be provided, for example a suitable storage container.
The invention also relates to a method for operating a biogas device in which carbon dioxide contained in hydrolysis gas produced by hydrolysis in a hydrolysis tank is removed from the hydrolysis tank and supplied to an energy gas container. A component of the hydrolysis gas can be separated from the hydrolysis gas by means of a separation device, in particular by means of a Separator described herein. In particular, hydrogen sulfide can be separated from the hydrolysis gas. Substrate from the hydrolysis vessel may be supplied to a methanogenesis vessel, which may be the energy gas vessel to which carbon dioxide is supplied. It is conceivable that the feeding of the carbon dioxide to the energy gas container is carried out on the basis of data from a methane sensor device assigned or downstream of the energy gas container and / or based on data from a carbon dioxide sensor device assigned to and / or connected to the hydrolysis container. The carbon dioxide can be fed to a methanogenesis tank and / or a methane reactor and / or a biogas storage and / or a biogas line.
