The invention relates to a method for producing a printed product, in particular a multi-part package insert for a pharmaceutical product, from a single printed sheet (10) having a long side and a transverse side, with the following steps: making at least one perforation (12a-c) in the Printing sheet (10) in the transverse direction, application of at least two adhesive traces (14a-d) running in the transverse direction on one or both sides of the printing sheet (10), making at least one or preferably several longitudinal folds such that the interaction of the adhesive traces (14a-d) at least two superimposed printing sheet areas connecting adhesive bonds are formed, as well as making a trimming of the printed sheet (10) processed in this way on at least one side transversely to the adhesive bond, the correspondingly processed product having at least two consecutive parts (16a-d) in a long state, the one at the at least one perforation (12a-c) are detachably connected to one another, each part (16a-d) being bound like a book in the detached state by the gluing. This product in the long state is then to achieve a packaged state - if necessary several times - cross-folded and provided with a perforated adhesive label (18) so that the product can be inserted into a folding box without problems.
Description
The present invention relates to methods for producing a printed product, in particular a leaflet, as well as a printed product produced according to the method.
However, such a so-called. "Kleinstgefalzter" leaflet is very confusing in the now often required "poster-like" total paper surfaces for the user and can hardly be folded with reasonable effort by this in its original compactness, so that once unfolded leaflet often no longer can be accommodated in the product packaging. As a result, the leaflet is ultimately lost easily, which is of course undesirable.
Also, such a kleinstgefalzter package insert is often problematic in terms of machine insertability in product packaging, as the heavily folded slip can unfold undesirable partially and often has no suitable for trouble-free insertion closed edge.
Against this background, so-called outsert / insert products have been developed, which are smallest folded printed products produced from a printed sheet, which are closed by means of a perforated adhesive label and thus have a substantially closed edge all around. However, from the user's point of view, this product has the above-explained problem of confusion of the unfolded product. Furthermore, once opened Outsert / Insert also very difficult to put back in the original product packaging.
An alternative that is easier to handle for the user are so-called booklets in which, as is known, a plurality of collated printed sheets are joined by means of sizing and the like, and are cut to size, so that the individual pages are connected in a book-fold manner at the edge of the finished product. This makes it easy to handle the leaflet, that is, the order of the pages is clearly visible, and the booklet can also be conveniently placed back in the product packaging.
Particularly in the pharmaceutical field, extremely high quality assurance requirements are placed on leaflets, that is, incorrect or incomplete leaflets must be excluded as far as humanly possible. Assembling a leaflet from multiple signatures in this context has inherent security risks with respect to a product made from a single signature in terms of possible mis-composition (under-blending) of signatures.
Wenngleich diesem Nachteil mittels intensiver Kontrolle (z.B. Although this disadvantage can in principle be counteracted by means of intensive control (for example camera control) of the products, there is great interest in the pharmaceutical field in creating products and processing methods which, if possible, already have a maximum degree of safety.
Additional requirements in the area of pharmaceutical products result from the tendency to attach not only one but at least two informational agents to the products. This may be different patient information for different target groups, e.g. on the one hand for the patient and on the other for the doctor or pharmacist; or it may be, for example, obligatory patient information and further patient information with additional service-oriented instructions or an indication of possibly suitable supplementary products or a device description of an applicator for a medicament.
Since pharmaceutical product packaging is generally designed to save space as possible, there is often little room for several printed products. In addition, the mechanical loading of several printed products is very difficult and can be realized with the usually existing packaging machines only with increased effort.
This problem could be counteracted by collecting the individual products before placing them in the packaging (so-called piggy-back applications). But that brings additional risks due to the risk of incorrect product collations.
Against this background, the present invention seeks to propose a method of the type mentioned or a correspondingly prepared printed matter, with the multi-part patient information as safe as possible, compact and easily inserted manufactured and simultaneously can be easily implemented by the user handled.
The solution of the above object is achieved by means of a method having the features of claim 1 or by a printed matter with the features of claim 12.
Advantageous embodiments of the method according to the invention are explained in the dependent claims.
- c) Vornahme wenigstens einer oder bevorzugt mehrerer Längsfalzungen derart, dass durch Zusammenwirken der Klebespuren wenigstens zwei übereinandergelegte Druckbogenbereiche verbindende Verklebungen gebildet werden;
- a) introduction of at least one perforation in the printed sheet in the transverse direction,
- b) applying at least two transversely extending adhesive tracks to one or both sides of the signature,
- c) making at least one or preferably a plurality of longitudinal folds in such a way that bonds forming at least two printed sheet areas arranged one above the other are formed by interaction of the adhesive tracks;
- d) making a cut of the printing sheet on at least one side transverse to the bond.
According to the invention, the correspondingly processed product has, in a so-called long state, at least two consecutive parts which are detachably connected to each other at the at least one perforation, each part being bonded like a book in the severed state by the bonding.
Thus, the product according to the invention is made from a single sheet, which precludes the potential risks of products made from multiple signatures (sub-blending).
Incidentally, when referring to such a sheet in the longitudinal and transverse directions, this should not necessarily mean that it is longer in the longitudinal direction than in the transverse direction, although this will be the normal case.
According to the invention, a single product is produced from this single printed sheet which has at least two book-like parts which can be separated from each other via the perforation by the user or users. Thus, the parts are firmly connected to each other until use and were made together, whereby it is impossible that only individual parts get into the product. As a result, the printed product according to the invention also has a high inherent safety level.
The printed product is in the above described, called "long form" state usually not compact enough to be accommodated in the product packaging. Therefore, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, further steps are carried out by means of which the product can be converted into a more compact and machine-manageable so-called "packaging state".
- c ') making at least one transverse fold subsequent to the at least one longitudinal fold in step c) and preferably before the trim in step d), wherein in a single transverse fold - or in the last transverse fold in the case of multiple transverse folds - the free outer edges of Essentially aligned with each other, and
- e) connection of the free outer edges by an adhesive together, in particular an adhesive label, preferably following the trim in step d).
The package thus obtained can then be inserted without interference into a package, mainly thanks to a closed edge (this is the edge opposite the adhesive label), depending on the design of the adhesive label also with this page ahead.
The user removes the package of folding box, breaks the - preferably perforated - adhesive label on and unfolds first the Quergefalzten parts (in principle, other Längsfalzungen for compaction are conceivable) until he finds the product in the long state. Then the corresponding parts can be separated at the perforation and are then available book or booklet-like.
The separation to be performed additionally documents that the product has been used, which may be advantageous in certain scenarios can. Thus, by separating the products, it can be understood that a doctor or pharmacist has taken note of the patient information intended for him.
The book-like parts resulting in the context of the invention may each have an equal area, which would result in a central division based on two parts.
Depending on the requirements, however, more than two parts may well be provided, and it may be provided that the parts are formed in terms of area of different sizes. Regardless of the position of the at least one perforation or the bonds, the at least one transverse fold in step c ') preferably takes place approximately in the middle of the product to be folded, so that in the packaging state a product that does not self-peel off with a closed, automation-friendly edge results.
The application of the adhesive traces in step b) takes place in a zigzag folding in step c), preferably alternately on both sides of the printed sheet. In a Wickelfalzung possibly sufficient application of the adhesive marks on one side of the sheet.
The perforation in step a) is preferably a microperforation which can be separated easily and without cracks. Depending on the procedural conditions, the perforation step can alternatively not be carried out at the beginning, but at a later point in time of the process.
The trimming in step d) is preferably carried out at least on both longitudinal sides in at least two Längsfalzungen and on a transverse side (the latter not mandatory). The trimming is preferably carried out as an essentially last method step (after which, if appropriate, the attachment of the adhesive label is subsequently effected, since in this way straight cutting edges of the finished product are ensured. Possibly. however, the trimming can also be carried out earlier.
In total, the number of separable book-like parts corresponds to the number of bonds (e.g., two lines of glue in two parts), with perforations in each area between two bonds, i. the number of perforations is preferably one less than the number of bonds.
The adhesive traces are preferably applied relatively close to the perforations. Instead of an arrangement adhesive trace - perforation - adhesive trace, the two adhesive traces can also merge into each other and separated by the perforation. Within the terminology of the invention, it should then still be two traces of glue.
The proximity of the glue tracks to the perforations offers the additional advantage that the paper is less likely to tear due to the glue-induced reinforcement when separating the perforation.
Overall, the adhesive traces can be formed continuously or intermittently and be realized by a variety of adhesives such as glue, hot melt adhesives, multi-component adhesives. It is preferably a spray adhesive which can be applied by means of nozzles and whose open time is selected so that the adhesive remains active until longitudinal folding. Appropriate methods are also known as Klebefalzung or inline sizing basically taken by itself.
Furthermore, in the context of the invention, a printed matter product is proposed, in particular a multi-part instruction leaflet for a pharmaceutical product, which essentially consists of a single printed sheet, which has a longitudinal side and a transverse side. This printed product has in a long state at least two successive parts, which are detachably connected to each other at least one perforation, each part is bound book-like in the separated state by an associated bonding.
The printed product according to the invention may also be formed according to the method described above.
Es zeigen:The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings. Show it:

The Querfalzungen need not all necessarily be made each half. Rather, individual parts can be folded only partially, whereby a predetermined final product size can be achieved.
