Ein solcher Niederdruckspeicher ist ein zur Verfügung stehendes Bauteil, für das dementsprechend keine Neukonstruktion erforderlich ist. Dabei wird wiederum in weiterer Ausgestaltung von der Druckregeleinrichtung in dem Niederdruckspeicher ein Druck zwischen 1bar und 200bar, bevorzugt zwischen 10bar und 50bar, ganz bevorzugt von 30bar eingestellt. Der so eingestellte Druck wird durch die Kompensationswirkung des Niederdruckspeichers auch bei deutlichen Druckschwankungen in dem Hochdruckspeicher genau eingehalten, so dass für die Kraftstoffzuführung zu der Abgasnachbehandlungseinrichtung ein konstanter Kraftstoffdruck zur Verfügung steht. Demzufolge kann die Abgasnachbehandlungseinrichtung sehr präzise gesteuert werden und somit die Abgasnachbehandlung insgesamt verbessert werden. Hierbei ist die Einmündungsstelle bevorzugt stromaufwärts einer Filtereinrichtung vorgesehen, so dass eine Filterung des so einer Hochdruckpumpe der Kraftstoffeinspritzvorrichtung wieder zugeführten Kraftstoffs erfolgt.
