Da die Einlippenbohrer zu ihrem Längen/Durchmesserverhältnis keine Eigenstabilität besitzen, hängen diese wegen ihrem Eigengewicht durch. Gerade bei sehr hohen Bohrvorschüben ist es wichtig dem Bohrer jede Möglichkeit zu nehmen das Zentrum der Bohrungsmitte zu verlassen und dabei die Schwingung von der Maschine fernzuhalten. Dadurch wird das Bohrungsergebnis in folgenden Punkten verbessert:

  • 1. Geradheit der Bohrung/Bohrungsflucht
  • 2. Oberflächengüte der Bohrung/Rauheitswert
  • 3. Erhöhung der Standzeit des Bohrwerkzeuges/Kostensenkung
