Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for measuring a temperature distribution with at least two measuring elements, wherein each measuring element is driven by an electrical signal and outputs a measuring signal as a function of the temperature.
For the measurement of temperatures, a variety of methods are known, but the temperature can only be determined selectively. If a temperature distribution is to be measured, a combination of several individual sensors is necessary. The individual sensors are combined in a measuring cable or a protective tube. The disadvantage here is that each individual sensor requires its own supply line for determining the sensor value to an evaluation device. This inevitably means that with an increasing number of sensors and the number of test leads increases, both the size of the measuring arrangement and the complexity of the evaluation increases.
The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a method and a device for measuring a temperature distribution, which makes do with a structurally simple measuring arrangement with a less complex configuration of the evaluation unit.
According to the invention the object is achieved in that the high-frequency electrical signal has a predetermined frequency, by means of which a temperature measurement is triggered on one of the at least two measuring elements, wherein from the, reflected by the measuring element measurement signal, an impedance is determined, from which the temperature is derived , By subjecting the measuring elements with a high-frequency signal, it is possible that the at least two measuring elements only need a common pair of wires for measuring the temperature distribution. This simplifies the measuring arrangement comprising the measuring elements, wherein the measuring cable containing the measuring arrangement can be easily inserted into the environment to be monitored, whose temperature distribution is to be determined.
Advantageously, different frequencies are predetermined for the at least two measuring elements. The excitation with different frequencies ensures that the measuring elements perform their temperature measurement only in the presence of the, for the respective measuring element predetermined frequency. This makes it possible to query the individual measuring elements in succession in a time sequence and to evaluate their measurement result. The measurement result is sent back on the same line, on which the high-frequency signal is supplied to the respective measuring element.
In one embodiment, the high-frequency signal comprises a broadband frequency range. The transmission of a continuous broadband frequency range ensures that a large number of measuring elements, which are not limited to two, can be used almost simultaneously to determine a temperature distribution without the need for additional lines.
Alternatively, the signal comprises discrete frequencies. In this particularly simple embodiment, only the frequencies are generated which are necessary for triggering the temperature measurement of the individual measuring elements. As a result, the measuring elements can be targeted.
In a variant, the signal has a constant amplitude and / or phase. This constant amplitude or phase simplifies the evaluation of the measuring signals supplied by the measuring elements and thus the determination of the temperature measured by the individual measuring elements.
A development relates to a device for measuring a temperature distribution with at least two measuring elements, wherein each measuring element is driven by an electrical signal and outputs a measuring signal as a function of the temperature. In order to reduce the size of the measuring arrangement, means are provided which emit the high-frequency electrical signal at a predetermined frequency, by means of which a temperature measurement is triggered on one of the at least two measuring elements and an impedance is determined from the measuring signal reflected by the measuring element, from which the temperature is dissipated. In addition to reducing the number of test leads, it is ensured that the selection of the individual measuring elements takes place solely via the excitation with different frequencies, so that each measuring element can measure the temperature at a different time and sends back the measurement result to the evaluation device.
Advantageously, at least two measuring elements are arranged parallel to each other on a line which is connected to an RF signal generator, wherein each measuring element is serially preceded by a bandpass filter and each bandpass filter has a different resonant frequency. Since the bandpass filters have different resonance frequencies, it is ensured that only at the associated resonance frequency, the band-pass filter is low impedance, whereby the measuring element is enabled, the temperature measurement execute and send the measurement signal back to the evaluation. If a frequency other than the resonance frequency strikes the bandpass filter, then this measuring branch remains high-impedance, which is why no temperature measurement can be carried out by the respective measuring element. By this design, a plurality of measuring elements can be arranged in this only one measuring line.
In one embodiment, the RF signal generator is part of a network analyzer, in particular an impedance analyzer, which has a measuring bridge for the evaluation of the impedance. To determine the temperature distribution via an impedance analysis, known network analyzers can be used. Additional evaluation electronics can be dispensed with.
In a particularly simple embodiment, instead of a network analyzer, it is also possible to use an impedance analyzer since this is sufficient for determining the impedances provided by the measuring elements. In particular, the measuring bridge within the network or impedance analyzer is necessary in order to be able to draw conclusions about the connected impedance.
A signal generator which sweeps over a wide frequency range, allows in a simple manner to control the different numbers of measuring elements, in particular the bandpass filters connected upstream of them, and thus to initiate the temperature measurement. Advantageously, the HF generator covers a frequency of 100 MHz to 1 GHz.
Furthermore, the bandpass filters are designed with steep flanks. Due to the steep edge of the bandpass filter used, the individual measuring signals emitted by the measuring elements can be distinguished clearly within the reflected signal. Especially when using quartz filters or SAW filters can be realized by these bandwidths of a few kilohertz. The bandpass filters have the lowest possible temperature dependence so as not to distort the measuring signal of the measuring elements.
The invention allows numerous embodiments. One of them will be explained in more detail with reference to the figures shown in the drawing.

The bandpass filters BF 1 , BF 2 , BF 3 , which are also referred to as suction circuits, thereby have the property of becoming low-impedance at the resonance frequency determined by the coil L x and the capacitor C x . If such a bandpass filter BF 1 , BF 2 , BF 3 is then subjected to a frequency f and if this frequency f is equal to the resonance frequency f 1 of the bandpass filter BF 1 ', then the entire measuring branch L 1 , C 1 and R 1 are low-resistance, while the remaining measuring branches L 2 , C 2 and R 2 or L 3 , C 3 and R 3 are high impedance. This means that no signals are transmitted to the temperature-dependent resistor R 2 or R 3 connected to the respective bandpass filter BF 2 , BF 3 . These measuring branches then behave neutrally, which is why no temperature measurement is carried out.

In the temperature measurement, which is carried out as an impedance measurement, at the occurrence of the frequency f x , which corresponds to one of the resonance frequencies of a bandpass filter, an impedance measurement is performed with the corresponding temperature-dependent resistor R x , while frequencies f x , not the resonant frequencies f 1 , f 2 , f 3 of the bandpass filters BF 1 , BF 2 , BF 3 , lead to no impedance measurement, but ensure a neutral behavior of the measuring branches in the high-impedance range. Due to the use of steep edge bandpass filters BF 1 , BF 2 , BF 3 , it is possible to clearly distinguish the individual impedances IR x .
The proposed solution is not limited to three temperature-dependent resistors R x , but may contain any number of temperature-dependent resistors and this upstream, steep-edge bandpass filter BF x . The more steep a filter, the more sensors can be arranged in a defined frequency range.
In order to prevent signal-distorting reflections within the circuit network, the temperature-dependent resistors R 1 , R 2 , R 3 should have the same value as the system impedance Z 0 . In addition, the bandpass filters BF 1 , BF 2 , BF 3 have a very low temperature dependence.
Due to the proposed, easy to build cable chain, which has a plurality of temperature-dependent resistors, which are spaced from each other, simplifies the measuring arrangement for a temperature distribution. At the same time can be dispensed with a complex evaluation.
