Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing black oxide ceramic surface layers on components consisting mainly of high-silicon-containing light metal materials and other aluminum alloys.

The invention has for its object to provide a cost-effective way, based on the principles of plasma-chemical oxidation surface treatment process for the material group of spray-compacted high-silicon aluminum alloys uniform functional blackening can be achieved even on complicated shaped components. In addition, the solution according to the invention should also be suitable for other commercial aluminum alloys.
This object is achieved in that differently processed starting material of spray-compacted high-silicon aluminum alloys is initially optionally subjected to a pretreatment. Its aim is to prepare the chemical composition and the structure for the further treatment steps. In this case, on the one hand, the silicon content in the near-surface regions of the substrate material is reduced, on the other hand, an approximation of the roughness of z. B. machined and unprocessed surfaces. To realize this, these materials are a treatment in a solution consisting of 25 to 45 vol .-% of an 85% phosphoric acid, 20 to 40 vol .-% of a 96% sulfuric acid, 2.5 to 5 vol. % of a 65% nitric acid and 5 to 10% by mass of ammonium hydrogen fluoride.
The part to be coated is immersed as an anode in this aqueous electrolyte. As a counter electrode, a sheet of a high-alloy chromium-nickel steel or an aluminum alloy can be used. At a current density of 0.5 to 15 A / dm 2 of a pulse current with a frequency of 10 to 1500 kHz, the part to be coated is coated to a final voltage of 250 to 400 V. With this pretreatment, which, however, is not necessarily preceded by the plasma-chemical oxidation, and the coating parameters including the electrolyte used, the prerequisite is created to produce oxide-ceramic matt black coatings even on aluminum alloys containing high silicon.
- a) The mechanical properties of the substrate material, especially in the near-surface areas are not affected.
- b) A significant change in optical properties was achieved by producing highly absorbent surfaces. The achievable absorption coefficient is also> 90% in the NIR range.
- c) There has been no or only within narrow tolerance limits existing change in the component geometry.
- d) The surface layer of the invention can be applied to various alloy compositions of high-silicon aluminum materials as well as other (commercially available) aluminum alloys.
With the method according to the invention, there is a possibility to design the surface functionalization of sintered or spray-compacted aluminum-silicon alloys with silicon contents of up to 45% such that a black, lacquer-free and inorganic layer can not be produced only for optical applications. So far, this alloy group has escaped due to the exceptional chemical composition of anodic oxidation.
The invention will be explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments.
