Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a furniture element module and to sets containing at least two furniture element modules.

In order to enable flexible room designs and room facilities, there are already a variety of modular systems that contain basic elements for furniture construction and make it possible, starting from basic furniture elements flexibly different furniture, especially cabinets and shelves up and rebuild if necessary. Based on this prior art, the object is to provide a component that allows flexible and with the least possible installation and time to provide furniture that can be re-assigned in its function. This object is achieved by the furniture element module with the features of claim 1.

The further object is to create easily and quickly flexible and convertible in terms of their functionality in the simplest way furniture. This is solved by the furniture element module sets with the features of claims 8 and 9.

An inventive furniture element module advantageously comprises at least two mutually standing at an angle, fixed to each other plates. This smallest component unit is permanently mounted. Neither tools nor tools are necessary for its assembly or disassembly and both steps are quick and can be performed by a non-specialist.

Advantageously, in another embodiment, the angle between the plates attached to each other is a right angle, since such a leg element can be ideally connected at a right angle with a second such element to a larger furniture unit.

In view of the fact that the furniture element module should be connectable to other furniture element modules so as to provide a modular piece of furniture, suitably at least one of the plates is provided with such a smooth surface that the suction cup can be optimally attached or sucked to it. Advantageously, at least the right angles bounding "inner sides" of the plates with this smooth surface fitted. But of course, the outsides facing away from the insides outside can be equipped with a correspondingly smooth surface, since this optimizes the usability of the furniture element modules together.

As a material for the creation of the furniture element module, respectively as a plate material, wood is generally suitable, but solid wood is regarded as a non-preferred variant, since it is very difficult for the intended use. Even plastic, although not preferred for reasons of weight, can be used. Likewise sheet metal hollow body are conceivable, which can also form plate-shaped body.

In fact, preferred are light wood materials such as wood composites and in particular wood composite lightweight materials, which may be, for example, combined wood and cardboard. Such composite wood lightweight materials are known. Two thin layers of wood, particularly chipboard, form a sandwich element with corrugated cardboard or other three-dimensional cardboard structures, whose faces are also veneered with thin wooden boards. Thus, suitable panels can be created, which can have a thickness of several centimeters, to produce furniture element modules with an impressive appearance.

Suitable plate thicknesses for furniture construction will be at least 3 cm, preferably at 4 to 5 cm and not exceed about 6 to 8 cm, on the one hand to be able to absorb the suction cups in the end faces and on the other hand not take too much volume in the furniture.

The plates, no matter what material they are made of, may also have an additional coating or be provided with a varnish; It is also possible to apply about a plastic coating and then to paint them.

In order to connect smaller furniture element modules together, it may already be sufficient to attach two suction cups to the plate end faces to make a suction connection to a smooth surface of a second furniture element module or a smooth wall or door.

However, it may also be desirable, depending on the dimensions of the furniture element module, to arrange three, four or even more suction cups in a row or slightly offset. In this case, it is necessary that the end surface of the plate in which the recesses are provided for the suction cups, has a corresponding extent or thickness, as mentioned above.

A conventional suction cup has a plate providing the suction surface, which is suitably made of a polymer, in particular of an elastomer. Of course, natural rubbers or rubbers are also conceivable. The skilled person is aware of any suitable type of suction pad. On the suction plate a foot is attached, which naturally consists of a solid material and is not flexible. Such a foot may have approximately a flat side to be glued into the recess.

However, the foot can also consist of one, two or more pins, which are inserted into corresponding holes which are present in the recess. In addition, these pins can be glued in the recesses. Another and quite preferred alternative to the design of the foot is to make this as a screw. The screw head is then quasi anchored in the suction plate and the set screw can be screwed into the bore recess. Thus, a secure fixing of the suction cup is ensured on the front side of the plate.

Such furniture element modules can be designed as an angle of two plates, but also as U-shaped elements; It can also be connected three plates so that one rests on the longitudinal edges of the other two. The simple design of an angle of two panels already allows a diverse use already when only one furniture element module is available. It has been found that the design of shelves which, for example, should also carry folders and electrical equipment such as a radio or the like, are suitably made from sheets having an edge length ranging from 30 to 50 cm. When an L-shaped module is formed, a plurality of suction cups along the longest side can ensure the stable arrangement.

A further development of the present inventive concept is furniture element module sets to provide that contain at least two, advantageously even more furniture element modules. An inventive furniture element module set comprises at least one furniture element module, which is equipped in the manner according to the invention at the end faces of its constituent plates with suction cups in the manner described above. It also has at least one second furniture element module, which does not necessarily have the suction cups, but is made of plates having such a smooth surface that the furniture element module can be attached to the suction cups on the other furniture element module by suction, so as a piece of furniture to form, whose components or modules are releasably secured together. For this purpose, it is suitable that the dimensions of the two furniture element modules forming the set are matched to one another. Thus, for example, a cube can be advantageously formed, to name only one possible design. For example, the modules can be used to create elegant and shapely shelf sculptures which have the appearance of a graphic and are particularly suitable for the artistic design of a modern living space.

The furniture element module set described above may well have a furniture element module that has no suction cups.

Advantageously, and to allow a particularly favorable and suitable production, furniture element modules are proposed in series, which not only have the same dimensions, but also the same structure. These are advantageously those furniture element modules which are constructed from two plates, wherein two or more suction cups are arranged on the end face of only one plate. Further, the surfaces of the plates are of such a smooth surface finish that the suction cups of a furniture element module can be attached to virtually any location of a second furniture element module by suction. Thus, at least two of these furniture element modules form a set from which a piece of furniture can be produced by releasably securing the individual modules to one another.

It goes without saying that the furniture element module set can contain a large number of furniture element modules, including different textures, surface designs, colors, material textures, etc. All these elements have in common that they can be stably and quickly connected to each other without the use of tools to form furniture such as a shelf furniture, a phono furniture, a room divider, a chair such as a stool or a table. Particularly light yet sturdy furniture can be made from composite wood composites, which are almost sandwich elements whose interior is made of three-dimensional cardboard structures coated with thin chipboard. The edges of the sandwich are covered with flat wood or plastic elements, both the side surfaces and the bearing surfaces of the plates can be provided with suitable, particularly smooth coatings or additional paints. These support the resistance of the components against moisture and at the same time give scope for the colored design. These lightweight components are also connectable to the suction cups; in the illustrated design, the walls are stabilizing against each other.
