- 1. Bei der Herstellung des Implantates werden die Partikel zumeist händisch mit der Basisstruktur des Implantates verbunden. Dies ist recht mühselig und bedarf einer großen Erfahrung der damit betrauten Person. Treten bei der Bestückung des Basismodells Fehler auf oder ist das Haftvermögen der Partikel, sogenannter Tripoden, auf der Basisstruktur nicht ausreichend, so kann dies dazu führen, dass bei dem dann beispielsweise durchgeführten Wachsausschmelzverfahren bei dem fertigen Implantat an den betreffenden Stellen die Raumnetzstruktur fehlt. Es können sogenannte Nester entstehen, in denen keinerlei Partikel, mehr vorhanden sind, die Raumnetzstruktur also unterbrochen ist. Ein derartiges Implantat stellt mithin einen Ausschuss dar.
