Abstract
An aqueous cleaning agent for hard surfaces, which contains a surfactant combination of fatty alcohol ether sulfate and at least one other surfactant and 0.001 to 1% by weight of bentonite as an opacifier, can be used for manual washing of dishes.
Description
The invention relates to an aqueous cleaning agent for hard surfaces, which contains a surfactant combination of fatty alcohol ether sulfate and at least one other surfactant and 0.001 to 1 wt .-% bentonites. This cleaning agent is preferably used for manual dishwashing.
Hard surface cleaners are often clear and translucent. For some detergent formulations, however, a cloudy appearance is desired. This applies above all, but not exclusively, to formulations which also have a nourishing effect, since the milky, cloudy appearance suggests gentle and gentle properties to the end user. To this end, detergents have been frequently added to polyacrylate dispersions. However, these have the disadvantage that it can lead to incompatibilities with cationically charged ingredients. In addition, for ecological reasons, it is desirable to reduce the proportion of petrochemical-based ingredients in favor of the proportion of ingredients derived from natural sources. However, polyacrylate dispersions are among the petrochemical-based ingredients.
It was therefore desirable to find an alternative to the opacifiers previously used, which is compatible with cationic ingredients and not of petrochemical origin, without sacrificing performance.
It now turns out that bentonites are outstandingly suitable for clouding detergent formulations. Bentonites are of mineral origin and therefore have a neutral life cycle assessment. In addition, there are no intolerances to cationic ingredients, so that compositions with such cationic ingredients have a higher stability. The cleaning agents obtained show the same good cleaning performance as clouded with conventional substances means.
Accordingly, the subject matter of the present invention is an aqueous hard surface cleaning composition which contains a surfactant combination of fatty alcohol ether sulfate and at least one further surfactant and 0.001 to 1% by weight of bentonites.
This detergent is especially suitable as a hand dishwashing detergent. A further subject of the present application is accordingly the use of the cleaning agent according to the invention for the manual rinsing of dishes.
In the context of the present invention are fatty acids or fatty alcohols or their derivatives - unless otherwise stated - representative of branched or unbranched carboxylic acids or alcohols or their derivatives having preferably 6 to 22 carbon atoms. The former are particularly preferred for their vegetable base as based on renewable raw materials for environmental reasons, but without limiting the teaching of the invention to them. In particular, the oxo alcohols or their derivatives which are obtainable, for example, by the ROELEN's oxo synthesis can also be used correspondingly.
Whenever alkaline earth metals are referred to below as counterions for monovalent anions, this means that the alkaline earth metal is present only in half - as sufficient to charge balance - amount of substance as the anion.
Unless otherwise stated, amounts given are percentages by weight (% by weight) of the total composition. These percentages refer to active contents.
Bentonitebentonite
Bentonites are clays and rocks that contain smectites, especially montmorillonite, as main minerals. Its INCI name is Magnesium Aluminum Silicate. Bentonites are commercially available, for example, under the trade name Detersoft A (Laviosa Chimica Mineraria S.p.A.). The agent according to the invention contains from 0.001 to 1% by weight of bentonites. The addition of bentonites turbidity of the aqueous cleaning agent is achieved. The degree of turbidity is determined nephelometrically. For this purpose, the intensity of the scattered light, which emerges at right angles to the light beam entering the sample, is measured. The turbidity value is given in NTU (nephelometric turbidity units). The agent according to the invention preferably has a turbidity value of 10 to 1000 NTU.
Tensidesurfactants
The composition of the invention contains surfactants in a total amount of usually 7 to 40 wt .-%, preferably 10 to 35 wt .-%. The index number x indicates the degree of oligomerization (DP degree), i. H. The distribution of mono- and oligoglycosides, and stands for a number between 1 and 10. While x must always be integer in a given compound and can take here especially the values x = 1 to 6, the value x for a particular alkyl glycoside an analytically determined arithmetical variable, which usually represents a fractional number. Preferably, alkyl glycosides having a mean degree of oligomerization x of 1.1 to 3.0 are used. From an application point of view, those alkyl glycosides whose degree of oligomerization is less than 1.7 and in particular between 1.2 and 1.6 are preferred. Particularly preferred cationic surfactants are the quaternary ammonium compounds (QAV, INCI quaternary ammonium compounds) according to the general formula (R I ) (R II ) (R III ) (R IV ) N + X - in the R I to R IV are identical or different C 1-22 -alkyl radicals, C 7-28 -aralkyl radicals or heterocyclic radicals, where two or, in the case of an aromatic incorporation as in pyridine, even three radicals together with the nitrogen atom denote the heterocycle, eg. A pyridinium or imidazolinium compound, and X - are halide ions, sulfate ions, hydroxide ions or like anions. For optimum antimicrobial activity, preferably at least one of the radicals has a chain length of 8 to 18, in particular 12 to 16, carbon atoms. QACs are by reacting tertiary amines with alkylating agents, such as. As methyl chloride, benzyl chloride, dimethyl sulfate, dodecyl bromide, but also ethylene oxide produced. The alkylation of tertiary amines with a long alkyl radical and two methyl groups succeeds particularly easily, and the quaternization of tertiary amines with two long radicals and one methyl group can be carried out with the aid of methyl chloride under mild conditions. Amines having three long alkyl radicals or hydroxy-substituted alkyl radicals are less reactive and are preferably quaternized with dimethyl sulfate.
In order to avoid possible incompatibilities of the cationic surfactants with the anionic surfactants present according to the invention, anionic surfactant-compatible and / or cationic surfactants are preferably used or, in a particular embodiment of the invention, cationic surfactants are completely dispensed with.

The composition of the present invention retained its slightly cloudy appearance even after storage, while the comparative formulation was not stable due to the interaction of the acrylate copolymer with the cationic ingredient Polyquaternium-10 but showed flocculation or precipitation.
