Dies ist jedoch nicht sehr genau durchführbar, weshalb es des Öfteren an diesen Stellen zu Leckagen kommt. Problematisch sind nicht nur die Toleranzen der einzelnen Bauteile, sondern auch die Toleranzen der Schweißmaschine sowie die Schweißbewegung selbst.
