Jedoch sind die Fluggastsitze nach dem heutigen Stand der Technik mit folgenden Mängeln behaftet:

  • 1.) Die Fluggastsitze befinden sich während des Fluges meist im Standby Betrieb und warten auf eine Anforderung des Passagiers. Dabei läuft die Sitzsteuerung im Standby Betrieb mit einem schlechten Wirkungsgrad.
  • 2.) Durch die Belastung mit dem Passagier in Verbindung mit dem niedrigen Wirkungsgrad der Einrichtungen zur Betätigung der Sitzkomponenten (1, 2, 3) treten hohe Lastspitzen im Bordnetz (15) des Flugzeuges während der Sitzbewegung auf.
  • 3.) Bei Ausfall des Bordnetzes (15) müssen alle Sitze von den Flugbegleitern manuell in eine sichere Start- und Landeposition gebracht werden.
