Description
The The invention relates to a ground-level light signal, in particular for rail-bound traffic routes, with a light source and a optical system for signal visualization in a remote area and one opposite this obliquely angled upwards Close range, with means for phantom light reduction provided are.
Damit kann auch ein Signal, das auf grund des Standortes phantomsicher sein sollte, phantomanfällig sein.in principle serve light signals as a signal generator or symbol indicator by Color and / or shape of a luminous surface, d. H. by the radiation characteristic, convey certain information. These are often safety-related information in no way visually distorted or blended by extraneous light may be. The unwanted lighting up or Falsification of a point of light by the incidence of ambient light, z. B. Sunlight or spotlight, is called a phantom effect designated. The phantom effect can in extreme cases to a false indication as a result of an untimely illumination of a Light point or a color shift come. Especially disturbing This effect occurs when using LED arrays as a light source, because LEDs can be excited by incident light to shine or with LED light sources often backward Reflectors are used. In addition to the well-known phantom generators, which are foreseeable in the project planning, z. B. low Sun for signals in east-west orientation, also kick sporadic or unanticipated sources of phantoms, eg. B. vehicle or building lamp, reflection on surfaces, z. B. on glazed fronts or snow cover on. So can too a signal that should be phantom-proof due to the location be phantom-prone.
The The following explanations essentially relate on light signals for the representation of signal terms in rail-bound Traffic routes without the claimed subject matter to this application should be limited.
Dabei treten insbesondere an Lichtaustrittsflächen des optischen Systems starke Reflexionen auf, die zur Entstehung von Lichtphantomen und letztlich zu gefährlichen Signalbegriffen führen können.at Railway signals must be ensured that the driver approaching the signal intended for it can always recognize this clearly. There have to be different ones Track geometries, d. H. Straight track, turns and / or elevation changes, be taken into account. In addition to the long-range representation Also, a near-field representation of the signal is required for it the driver then also recognize the light signal can if he stands right in front of the signal. The proximity is near the ground, d. H. low light signals, much more problematic as with light signals attached to very tall masts, because the light signal must radiate upwards in the near range and thus the angle of incidence of sunlight and the angle of observation can come closer together. Especially occur at the light exit surfaces of the optical system strong reflections that contribute to the formation of light phantoms and ultimately to dangerous ones Can lead to signal terms.

With this union of properties, namely light scattering and reduction of the phantom effect, but in a so-called intent optics inevitably arises a compromise that leads to the optically effective flanks the scattering segment continues to show significant light reflections, so that the phantom protective effect at least for the group the near-ground light signals, which radiate upwards in the near field, is not enough.
Of the Invention is based on the object, a ground-level light signal specify the generic type in which a Impaired safety due to the phantom effect is largely avoidable.
According to the invention the object is achieved in that the optical system comprises a scattering element in an Appertursegment of the luminous flux for deflecting a partial luminous flux in the vicinity and a light exit plate with gray filter for phantom light reduction. The phantom light reduction is thereby structurally separated from the near-field scattering. There is no need to compromise between the necessary light deflection by scattering and the loss of luminosity by gray-screening for phantom reduction. The scattering element and the gray-colored light exit plate are arranged one behind the other, that the light is initially deflected by the example semicircular scattering element partially obliquely upwards and then the entire luminous flux is attenuated by the gray light exit plate, whereby the phantom effect is reduced. In the light exit plate itself, there are no scattering elements that could produce light propagation in the direction of the near zone and thus also enhanced phantom light reflections.
According to claim 2, the scattering element is additionally available as a gray filter disk educated. This additional measure further improves phantom control, if it is to be feared that on the inside of the optical Systems arranged scattering element still reflections arise could be so strong that they are also gray by the outer Light emission plate could be perceived. Since that internal scattering element only on an Appertursegment the total luminous flux acts, its gray color reduces the light intensity also only in this field of apperture and does not affect the total luminous flux.
According to claim 3 is additionally at least one associated with the scattering element Grayscale disc provided. In this way, can be very different Requirements for near-field visualization and phantom reduction will be realized. Diffuser element, gray filter disk and light exit disk can be very diverse depending on demand be combined with each other, which in particular very many different Transmittance values for the targeted influencing of the phantom behavior can be selected.
The Arrangement of scattering element and associated grille part simplifies the calculation of the spreading element against a scattering element, which is made only from a gray material is, because with this additionally the material thickness as a variable into the scattering element calculation.
