Diese Freischaltung über eine Leitung (42) erfolgt nicht, wenn mangels ausreichender Deckung des Guthabenkontos (35) eine Umbuchung zugunsten des Kontos (36) nicht erfolgt. Meldet jedoch das Kontaktglied (12), daß die Umbuchung vorgenommen worden ist, an die Abgleicheinrichtung (10), so schaltet diese über die Leitung (42) das Lesegerät (18) frei. Dadurch kann die Datenwiedergabefläche (25) des auf die Auflagefläche (24) aufgelegten Datenein- und -wiedergabegerätes (3) von der Datenaufnahmeeinheit (23) abgetastet werden.
