Der Gasaustrittsöffnung gegenüberliegende und damit angeströmte Bauteile, insbesondere das Verdichtergehäuse, neigen bei darauf auftreffenden Druckpulsationen zu Resonanzen, welche das Akustikverhalten des Gasverdichters an sich in einer unerwünschten Weise beeinflussen. Insbesondere das Verdichtergehäuse stellt einen großflächigen, großvolumig und zu Resonanzen neigenden Körper dar. Mit der vorliegenden erfindungsgemäßen Lösung können auch bei einem derartigen Körper die Auswirkungen der Druckpulsationen, also die Bauteil- oder auch Körperschwingungen, vermindert und gedämpft werden, um gegenüber herkömmlichen Konstruktionen ein verbessertes akustisches Verhalten zu erzielen.
