Description
The The invention relates to a method according to claim 1 and a control device according to claim 4th
A central parameter for consumption and above all emission-optimal operation of an internal combustion engine, especially gasoline engine, provides the air mass flow in the intake manifold This results in high demands on the accuracy in terms of the calculation or detection of this air mass flow. In practice is the currently in the intake manifold flowing air mass flow in the Motor control of the respective internal combustion engine by means of an air mass flow model calculated and the thus determined model air mass flow over appropriate Sensors in or on the intake manifold - like z. B. using a Heißfileinuftmassenmessers or intake manifold pressure sensor - with the reality, this means in particular with a measurement upstream in the air intake tract the suction tube at a predetermined distance or distance to the Throttle device, in particular throttle flap, detected mass air value or a corresponding Luftansaugtrakt parameter matched. The stored in the engine control of the respective internal combustion engine Air mass flow model usually calculates the air mass flow through the throttle device, in particular throttle, of the air intake tract. Especially with supercharged engines has the Air intake tract between mass air flow sensor and throttle valve relatively large Volume. In the stationary Case, d. H. at largely steady, in particular substantially constant fresh air mass flow conditions in the air intake tract - such as Example with constant engine speed or constant engine load - is the Mass flow at the air mass sensor with the mass flow through the throttle valve essentially identical. In this case, the air mass flow model the throttle directly with the measured mass flow of the air mass meter be matched. In contrast, shows in the dynamic case, for example, when the supercharger speed a possibly present in the air intake tract in front of the throttle Turbocharger increased is, d. H. if changes the fresh air mass flow in the air intake tract in front of the throttle valve revealed that an adjustment of the air mass flow model using the measured air mass flow of the air mass meter in practice is flawed.

Gleichzeitig wird eine ausreichende Reaktionsfähigkeit des Gesamtsystems zum Ermitteln und präzisen Einregeln eines gewünschten Luftmassenstroms weitgehend sichergestellt.through of the additional Intermediate model as pilot control of the control loop of the air mass flow model it is especially with dynamics of fresh air mass flow conditions in the air intake tract allows the comparison between the model air mass flow from the air mass flow model and that actually measured air mass flow more accurate and robust. simultaneously is a sufficient responsiveness of the entire system to Determine and precise Adjusting a desired Air mass flow largely ensured.

These Air Model Calculation for The air mass flow in the intake manifold is therefore preferably made because a direct measurement of the air mass flow in the intake manifold with the disposal standing air mass sensors is difficult or impossible. common Air mass sensors are namely too sensitive to pressure and would under the high pressure conditions in the intake manifold does not work properly or does not work at all.

an, während

- - AMI. the air mass flow which is measured in the entrance area of the air intake tract IS with an air mass sensor AMS,
- - AMI * the converted by means of the intermediate model ZM, fictitious air mass flow through the throttle TH,
- T3 is the gas temperature of the air mass flow in the region of the throttle valve TH,
- Κ the adiabatic exponent of the air mass flow through the intake manifold IM,
- R a is the general gas constant of the fresh air mass flow through the air intake tract IS, and
- - f represents a function as a function of the parameters T3, R a , κ.
eingangsseitigen Abschnitt des Luftansaugtrakts IS besser berücksichtigt
weitere Einstellungen seines Adaptionsmechanismus.
Possibly. it may be appropriate instead of a subtractor a ratio former or divider as a control deviation determination unit to provide the ratio or the quotient between the fictitious measured air mass flow AMI * and the modeled air mass flow AMI forms and as a control deviation signal CE is used.
Thereby, that the measured air mass flow AMI via an intermediate model ZM on a resulting at the location of the throttle TH air mass flow AMI * is converted or transformed - without that actually one Measuring sensor for an air mass measurement would be present -, can in dynamic processes of flow conditions in the air intake tract the modeled air mass flow AMF with the actual Conditions in the intake manifold faster and with higher accuracy than without Intermediate model to be matched or tuned. So it's one fast adaptation possible, which is positive for is an emission-reduced setting of the internal combustion engine and also the drivability feeling for the Driver of the motor vehicle with this internal combustion engine in an advantageous Way improved. Because on changes the flow conditions in the air intake tract due to load requirements of the driver the air mass flow in the intake manifold is determined and regulated more precisely become. In other words, it is thus possible better simulate the real course of the air mass flow in the intake manifold.
