Abstract

The junction has a multi-layer printed circuit board (120) and a feed line (107) for guiding electromagnetic waves. A decoupling unit has a coupling unit (121) and a resonating cavity (102) for decoupling of the electromagnetic waves into a waveguide (103). The resonating cavity is integrated in the printed circuit board. The board has two layers e.g. high frequency substrates, where one layer is arranged over the other layer such that the former layer covers the cavity and is made of isolating material. The cavity has a depth that corresponds to the thickness of the latter layer. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a waveguide junction.
