In der Praxis hat sich nunmehr gezeigt, dass es beim Herunterklappen oder Auflegen der Frontklappe gelegentlich versäumt wurde, dieselbe vermittels der Verschlusselemente auch ordnungsgemäß zu verriegeln. Dieser Umstand kann im kritischsten Fall dazu führen, dass sich die Frontklappe während der Fahrt löst und nach oben klappt oder gänzlich sich vom Karosserieaufbau löst.
