Description
The The invention relates to a metallic, integral structural component with improved residual strength according to the preamble of the claim 1, and corresponding method for its preparation. The invention finds particular application in aeronautical engineering, for example in reinforced by stiffening profiles skin sheets.
One large part the aircraft structures, such as Hull and wings are made of metallic materials. To be primary Rigidity and strength requirements known skin panels provided with appropriate stiffening profiles. For example, the outer skin of the fuselage in the longitudinal direction reinforced by stringers and in the circumferential direction with frames. As a joining process serve the riveting or gluing, whereby by a so-called differential Construction is spoken.

As a result of static as well as cyclically occurring mechanical loads can be Cracks in the reinforced Form and spread skin sheet. Around damage conditions of this kind in the aircraft design to take into account become both requirements for the (dynamic or cyclic) crack propagation behavior as well as the (quasi static) residual strength behavior of the component posed. The required damage tolerance behavior is u.a. from that depending, how behaves a perpendicular to the stiffening propagating Hautriss, if he meets this.
The stiffener remains undamaged and bridges the crack, so that as a positive effect the crack in its further spread is hampered. In such a differential construction act riveted or glued stiffeners as crack stopper or crack retarder. Of the Crack progress in the hull planking is stopped or delayed because the crack tip through the riveted or glued stiffening over a certain number of load changes is held together. simultaneously the residual strength of the brushed component remains at a high level Level, since the undamaged Stiffening continues to take over part of the total static load can.
In contrast, in the case of integral construction, the split Crack tip in the foot area the stiffening in a Hautriss and a stiffening tear on and both cracks spread in the subcomponents. One through damaged a partial crack Stiffening possesses in contrast to a differential attached Stiffening profile in principle, both a reduced strength as well as a reduced stiffness. There is no effective Holding together the skin crack, leaving this in its further Training is hampered insufficiently. This behavior leads to a reduced residual strength and unfavorable crack propagation behavior.
Zur Verbesserung des Rissfortschrittsverhaltens kommen bisher Aufdickungen und Verstärkungen zum Einsatz.to Improvements in crack propagation behavior have so far been thickened and reinforcements for use.
In EP-A-1 323 631 is for improving the crack propagation behavior integral structures the use of a separate component, introduced into the stiffening profile to form an internal interface is proposed.
Further is described in EP-A-1 291 279 and EP-A-1 166 950 targeted introduction of a separate component not by integral Activities, but by deliberately arranging a differential construction, the Damage tolerance behavior, especially with regard to crack propagation and residual strength, can be improved.

Schweißnaht von Hautblech und Versteifungsprofil hervorzurufen.DE-A-103 31 990 describes to suppress the dynamic crack propagation a narrow metallic-induced fine grain zone to a targeted Crack deflection along the connecting line or weld of Cause skin plate and stiffening profile.
In the prior art, the crack problem usually only in conjunction with local reinforcements Considering trying the crack or cracks by stress reduction To stop or distract, or the cracks along an interface "dead run" leaves are the known solutions primary on the reduction of the dynamic crack propagation, but not on the improvement of behavior under static load.
Next dynamic loads during In flight, there are many areas in the aircraft whose dimensions by static loads (or load assumptions) done or which partly for the Aircraft approval must be demonstrated. This is for example the proof of residual strength over the portable loads in a pressure hull structure in the presence of a "big crack." In addition, in emergency situations or in accidents static loads in or on the aircraft possible, which also damages with considerable Can produce what extent can lead to the start abort or emergency braking. Again, this is the biggest to be accepted damage in addition to a local deformation, the formation of one or more Cracks (sometimes even hidden and thus not immediately recognizable), the catastrophic consequences for humans in flight operations and machine can have. The Cracking or spreading is always critical when the Aircraft structure locally is unable to suppress or to delay such that the operational safety of the aircraft is still present. today Metallic aircraft structures, provided that they are machined from integral, welded or welded cast elements are constructed in this regard inherent Problem. Your high-strength materials (Al, Ti, in the future maybe Mg) own Although good to very good static strength properties, but need locally protected due to their limited ductility against cracks, since such cracks are unchecked under the influence of high static loads and can grow catastrophically. This local crack sensitivity (or notch sensitivity) is in an aircraft structure especially always in the areas where Stiffening profiles are attached to a skin sheet, i. in usually at cross-sectional changes, given.
Consequently It is the object of the present invention to provide a metallic, integral structural component with improved residual strength to create, so a better behavior under static loads guaranteed is.
The Task is solved by a metallic structural component, which at least two structural elements integrally connected to one another, especially skin sheet and reinforcing profiles, comprises, and according to the invention thereby distinguishes that it has a local zone in the area of the transition from one structural element to the other or in the immediate vicinity of the transitional area is arranged and a higher plasticity as the adjacent structural elements. It is irrelevant like the integral connection or the integral structural component produced by production technology, for example by means of welding, casting, forging, milling, Sintering or other primary molding processes.
Die katastrophale Rissausbreitung kann somit wirksam verhindert werden.advantageously, is in the structural component according to the invention a crack that points to such a zone with higher plasticity, which below is referred to as a "soft" or "plastic" zone, impinges, by local deformations much of its energy dissipate and "dulling." In other words, the energy in the crack tip is lowered due to the "soft" zone such that the unstable catastrophic crack propagation is prevented or at least the Threshold noticeably decreases or postponed to higher failure loads becomes. At the same time, the soft material solidifies before Crack tip. Together leads this for survival the integral structure, because the stiffening and thus load-bearing Element (in particular the stiffening profile) remains largely intact. The catastrophic crack propagation can thus effectively prevented become.
Conveniently, is the local zone along the entire longitudinal extent of the transition area educated. The transition region denotes quite generally the area in which a structural element in a another structural element passes or adjacent to this. In a welded structure, this is the Connection area from one structural element to the other, which extends along the weld extends. However, the structural component typically does not have this mandatory a change in the cross section in the transition area. In a stiffening profile, for example by welding on a Skin plate is attached, thus extending advantageously the local zone towards the weld along its entire length. Thereby become uniform properties of the structural component via its entire longitudinal extent guaranteed.
It is particularly expedient that the width S 0 of the local zone viewed in cross-section extends over the entire cross-sectional width S 1 of at least one structural element, in particular of the stiffening profile. In this way, the effect of the local zone is optimally utilized.
It is particularly advantageous for the length L 0 and width S 0 of the local zone to have the condition 1/3 × S 0 <L 0 × 10 × S 0 , whereby a cross-sectional plane is perpendicular through the length L 0 and the width S 0 is defined to the longitudinal extent A of the transition region.
Conveniently, the cross-section of the local zone has a rectangular, square, trapezoidal, on at least one side aufgedickten or constricted cross section.
Above all, it is advantageous that the local zone has a tensile strength R m of greater than 100 MPa, a yield strength R p0.2 greater than 80 MPa and an elongation at break A LO greater than 5%, the ratio of tensile strength R m and yield strength R p0.2 is greater than 1.2, and the tensile strength R m of the local zone is smaller than the yield strength of the structural elements. These properties are to be regarded as global properties; that is, the entire local zone and its specific property profile may also be due to an interaction between higher-strength and very low-solids materials. The softness or the "soft" behavior is therefore to be understood as an integral value.
Is appropriate it formed that the local zone continuous or interrupted is, so an adjustment option depending on the application is given. For example, the local zone be formed continuously or interrupted with openings.
Further it is appropriate that the local zone in their property profile gradient in the / Base material (s) of the structural element (s) passes over.
The local zone is made of metallic material and has forged, cast and / or sintered texture features.
According to one In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the local zone is more integral Component of the structural component. The local zone is thus not a separate one Component that is to be incorporated into the structural component, but is by simple modification of the base material (s), while or after making the integral structural member into it molded or introduced.

Hinsichtlich

With regard to the introduction of the local zone
For example, the local zone may be introduced into the already fabricated integral structural component by defined heating of the transition region. This heating is also known as "tempering" and has the effect of reducing the high strength of the base material while providing high ductility in the area of heating, all methods of local heating are conceivable for this heating Welding process can be exploited.
Schweißzusatz-Werkstoff) verbessert. The Local zone can also be targeted by remelting an area the integral structure or along a connecting line in the to be joined Integral structure are generated, if necessary, the properties the local zone by adding another material (eg welding filler material) improved.

Alternativ

- 1) A stiffened plate of the material AA 7475 T73 was produced by milling (integral construction). The stringer foot was "plasticized" by local heat input (eg diode laser) The local heat input was monitored by means of online temperature measurement The purpose of this measure is the local softening of the alloy AA 7475 T73 (about 500 MPa) by controlled overaging of the structure (strength then 250 -300 MPa) by briefly heating (3-5 sec) to 350 ° C ± 10 ° C. The result is a plastic zone with a tensile strength Rm ≤ 300 MPa and an elongation A ≥ 10%.
- 2) A further stiffened plate was produced from a sheet of the alloy AA 6013 T6 and a stringer of the alloy AA 6110 A T6 by means of laser beam welding. The stringer base was previously modified during production (coextrusion or composite extrusion) with a "soft" and easily weldable material (eg AlSi7) .This alloy also remains after passing through the production chain for the stringer (extrusion, solution heat treatment, stretching, hot aging). After laser welding, the composite has a defined zone of well-deformable material ("plastic zone"), in which a crack can dissipate much of its energy (stress intensity) and thus a failure of the structure at a given load and crack length or position can be prevented. In other words, the component can now carry a higher load for a given crack length or position than the component without this plastic zone.
- 3) The plastic zone can also be produced by defined slow welding, if the Al materials used allow this from a metallurgical point of view (eg no hot cracking during welding or the formation of undesirable corrosion sensitivities). It is advantageous but not absolutely necessary, if so-called heat sinks are present on both sides of the weld by accumulations of material. As in Example 1), the heat supply leads to the defined over-aging of the defined softened Al-aerated alloy. In this zone, the strength is significantly reduced and the deformability significantly increased.
- 4) The local plastic behavior can also be stimulated by introducing cross-sectional changes along the connecting line of the elements of a component (eg skin and stringer). These modify the stress distribution under external stress, so that in the case of an existing crack, the stress intensity can fall off due to curved local plastifications. So can be provoked by the arrangement of breakthroughs (eg holes) between the openings a local plastic behavior. Thus, in the case of load in the presence of a crack, its stress intensity can be lowered so far that catastrophic failure (unstable, static crack growth) does not occur or is shifted toward greater loads. The basic prerequisite here is that the dimensioning of the apertures and their distances or position at a given load and crack length / position cause exceeding the yield strength of the materials used between the openings or in their environment. Only then can the plasticization be used. In the present case, the component was made of an AA 6013 T6 alloy by milling and drilling.
