Abstract
A driver assistance system analyses the drivers condition using eyelid closure behavior, look direction, driver capacity, vehicle and environment parameters and displays (12) the results to the driver using a colored optical fitness grade display or tangible warning with indication of rest interval. Independent claims are included for a short sleep system actuated by pressing a nap button which sets an alarm, lowers the drivers seat to a rest position, darkens the windows and locks the doors with heating and ventilation control depending on the external temperature. This system includes detection and interruption of deep sleep states using muscle contractions.
