Abstract

The pole has two telescopic parts (5,6), and a spring element (26) to tension the second part in extraction or extension direction. The power transmission element (27) in the power flux between spring and part is a completely or mainly incompressible liquid. The spring element contains a compressible fluid, esp. air, and/or spring element and at least part of the power transmission element are located in a cylinder (7). The elements are separated esp. by a piston (8), which is freely moveable within the cylinder. The pole also has a temperature compensation device, to compensate for esp. viscosity and/or flow behavior of the incompressible fluid in the transmission element caused by temperature variations. A flexible grip loop is fastened to one pole end.
