Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Beugungsgitter (10), insbesondere Reflexionsgitter (10), wobei das Beugungsgitter (10) in einer Beugungsordnung bezüglich eines ersten Polarisationszustands (TE) von Licht eine erste Beugungseffizienz e¶TE¶ und bezüglich eines zweiten Polarisationszustands (TM) eine zweite Beugungseffizienz e¶TM¶ aufweist, mit einem Gitterprofil (12), das eine periodische Anordnung von Stegen (14) aufweist, wobei die Anordnung eine Gitterperiode d und die einzelnen Stege (14) in Richtung einer ersten Achse (x) eine Breite b und in Richtung einer zweiten Achse (y) eine Höhe H aufweisen. Das Gitterprofil (12) genügt im Wesentlichen der Gleichung, DOLLAR I1 wobei 0 < H < A UND P > 0, und das Verhältnis b/d und/oder p ist/sind so gewählt, dass die Beugungseffizienzen e¶TE¶(H) und e¶TM¶(H) zumindest einen Punkt oder Bereich aufweisen, in denen sich die zugehörigen Funktionskurven der Beugungseffizienzen im Wesentlichen berühren (Fig. 4).
