Abstract
Control elements (B1,B2) fit in a first escape mechanism opening (DA). During operation and when the first escape mechanism opening is open, air flows past on an outer side of the control elements' external parts (A1,A2), which encase internal parts (M1,M2). An outer surface of the external parts affects the flow direction/flow intensity of air flowing from the first escape mechanism opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for ventilating a motor vehicle.
