Abstract
Tensioner for a flexible drive element, especially an oil pump drive chain, has a guide rail (1), especially for the camshaft timing chain, with at least a bearing point (8) for attachment of the guide rail to a combustion engine and a spring tensioner. The guide rail has an appendage with an extra independent bearing point for the attachment of the tensioning rail (15), such that it is independent of the guide rail bearing point.
