Description
Nitrate- and chloride-free nitrogen fertilizer with magnesium content The present invention represents an improvement and rider formation of the subject matter of patent 932 430, which teaches to adjust magnesium and nitrogen in fertilizers containing ammonia by adding ammonium sulfate to a ratio of 1: 2 to 3. With this mixed fertilizer, better results were achieved compared to the fertilizers according to the state of the art at the time, as can be seen from the description. In the meantime, however, it has been found that these increases in yield did not always occur, so that the teaching given by this patent is not always useful. The present invention now gives the new teaching of technical action that it is not sufficient to set the ratio Mg: N such as 1: 2 to 3 in the fertilizer, but that this ratio must be present in the soil, and then the new mixed fertilizer is set; namely, if there is magnesium in the soil that can be used by the plants, it is adjusted in such a way that the nitrogen content is increased when the magnesium content is reduced.
It is already known that fertilizers are practically free of nitrates and chlorides produce which magnesium and nitrogen and optionally also P, K, Ca and in which Mg and N are present in a ratio of 1: 2 to 3. With such However, this preferred nutrient ratio only remains for the fertilizers Preserve the plant if there is no plant-usable magnesia in the soil. this applies so only for soils that are very poor in plant-usable magnesia.
This preferred ratio Mg: N = 1: 2 to 3 is based on the ratio of Mg: N generally occurring in nature in chlorophyll, which is 1: 2.3. So far it has been considered sufficient if this ratio is made available to the plant solely by the fertilizer.
It was now extremely surprising to find that nitrogen fertilizers containing magnesium, in which the ratio Mg: N is in a different order of magnitude, namely from 1: over 3 to 18, showed extraordinarily good yield results. This is due to the fact that the Mg: N ratio recognized as preferred, such as 1: 2 to 3, is again established for the plant in the soil if the soil's plant-usable magnesia is taken into account together with the N and Mg content of the fertilizer.
Up to now, it has not been customary for a person skilled in the art to take the Mg content of the soil into account. However, such a practical method has recently been introduced. With this it is possible to determine the content of plant-usable magnesia with sufficient accuracy for practical use. It is then also possible to take this Mg content of the soil into account in such a way that, together with the nitrogen fertilizer with Mg content to be used, the preferred Mg: N ratio, such as 1: 2 to 3, is available for the crop.
According to the new proposal, N-Mg fertilizers with the ratio Mg: N such as 1: over 3 to 18, preferably 1: over 3 to 12, are used. For the first time it is possible to put the previously known individual case for floors that are very poor in magnesia on a broad general basis. Advantageous harvest results are achieved with nitrogen fertilizers with a graduated magnesium content, which therefore take into account the content of plant-absorbable magnesia in the soil, because this in turn sets the Mg: N ratio preferred by nature, such as 1: 2 to 3 in the soil.
Choosing from the above. Fertilizers depends on the magnesium requirement of a soil, d. i.e., for soils rich in magnesium the more nitrogen-rich fertilizers used and vice versa.
The advantageous fertilization results when using graduated Mg amounts in nitrogen fertilizers according to the new teaching of the invention are shown in the lush vegetation of the plants, in the increase in the fruit yield and in the quality improvement that z. B. in the increase in the starch content or in the increase in enzyme and carotene formation is expressed. This makes it possible to avoid plant-damaging over-fertilization, which is particularly difficult due to the high effectiveness factor of Mg. This over-fertilization is not as harmful with K and P205 and is practically avoided by the soil investigation for K and P.0, which has been customary for 30 years. An N-supply in the soil is not to be expected due to the easy leachability of the N-fertilizers and the biological conversion.
These fertilizer mixes can. particularly advantageous from in technical Process occurring solutions by common crystallization, separation and Drying produced «-erden, since this method of operation ensures an intimate homogenization is achieved and an additional mixing process is omitted. But others can too known processes, such as component mixing and granulation processes, be applied.
So far, fertilization tests have only been possible for the ratio Mg: N such as 1: 2 to 3 as a comparative fertilization between mixtures in which Mg and N were partially present in a compound and mixtures in which this is not the case, e.g. B. known for the following mixtures, resulting in an increased yield for mixture (I).
64 (NH,)2S0, - Mg S0, - 6 H20 + 36 (NH,)2SO,und (I) 58 (NH,)2S0, -;.
42 MgSO, - 7 H20.
Mischungen (I) oder (II).
The mixed fertilizer with the ratio Mg: N like 1: 5, with which a ratio Mg: N like 1: 2 was set for the plants, taking into account the Mg content of the soil, brought an additional yield of 35 dz / ha.
It has also been proposed to use anhydrous ammonite as a fertilizer. However, this contains a leg: N ratio such as 1: 1.2. Also the mixture with other fertilizers does not give the teaching of the invention, the fertilizer has a ratio of Mg: N of 1: about 3 to 18 set in order in the ground for the plant, the preferred ratio Mg: N of 1: 2 to 3 to reach. A mixture of ammonia and ammonium chloride has also been proposed. However, the presence of chlorine usually causes damage to the crop, and the addition of lime is necessary to prevent over-acidification of the soil, which depresses the nutrient sum of the fertilizer.
In contrast, practically only small amounts of Mg are available for the plant from the poorly soluble Mg compound, so that a higher Mg: N ratio is established, which no longer corresponds to the preferred ratio of Mg: N such as 1: 2 to 3.
It shows the superior effect of the nitrogen fertilizer containing magnesium according to the invention versus the mixture of rapidly acting nitrate nitrogen in combination with a sparingly soluble magnesium compound that does not contain any N.
