A lashing strap or strap is used to attach an optical cable, in particular an optical fiber cable, on a ground or phase cable electrical overhead line.
In the lashing strap 10 according to the first exemplary embodiment of the invention, a carrier body 11 that absorbs tensile forces is completely encased by a weather-resistant jacket 12 , as shown in FIG. 1. The carrier body 11 has a large number of strand-shaped strain relief elements 13 . The strand-shaped strain relief elements 13 are arranged in one plane and each aligned approximately parallel to a longitudinal axis of the lashing belt 10 . The strain relief elements 13 can be glass yarns or aramid yarns. The strain relief elements 13 can also be made from LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer).
According to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the optical waveguides 14 are arranged in the plane of the strain relief elements 13 . Referring to FIG. 1, four strength members 13, and eight optical waveguides 14 are provided, which are arranged in one plane. The four strain relief elements 13 and eight optical fibers 14 form a plate-shaped unit. This unit is delimited by a strain relief element 13 on the left and right side. The optical fibers 14 are divided into three groups, two groups each comprising three optical fibers and one group comprising two optical fibers. The groups of optical fibers are spatially delimited from one another by the two remaining strain relief elements 13 .
The unit consisting of strain relief elements 13 and optical fibers 14 , which ultimately forms the so-called carrier body 11 , is completely enclosed by the weatherproof jacket 12 . A non-slip layer 15 or an adhesive layer is applied to one side of the jacket 12 . With regard to the possible configuration of the casing 12 and the non-slip layer or adhesive layer 15 , reference is made to EP-A-1 017 143 at this point. The disclosure content of this document is expressly referred to here and should be part of this document.
When tape tab 20 of the second embodiment shown in Fig. 2 is a tensile receiving carrier body 21 is also completely surrounded by a weather-resistant casing 22, the support body 21 is, however, formed in contrast to the embodiment of FIG. 1 as a plate-shaped or band-shaped element 23, wherein in the interior of the plate-shaped element 23, a cavity is formed which receives at least one optical waveguide 24 . The cavity extends in the longitudinal axis of the lashing belt 20 , with a total of twelve optical waveguides 24 aligned approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis being arranged within the cavity according to FIG. 2. Arranged on both sides of the supporting body 21 is a strand-like, tensile and / or compression-resistant reinforcing element 25 which extends in the region of the jacket 22 . A non-slip layer or adhesive layer can also be applied to the jacket 22 of the lashing tape 20 on one side thereof, but this is not shown in FIG. 2.
At this point it should be noted that the number of in the Embodiments shown optical fiber as well Strain relief elements is only exemplary. Even the presence of an or several additional reinforcement elements is in both Embodiments optional.
With the lashing straps 10 and 20 according to the invention, lashing straps can be supplied with an extended functionality without their mechanical function being impaired. Thus, the lashing straps 10 and 20 according to the invention not only serve to attach an optical cable to an electrical overhead line, but rather the lashing strap can now also be used for data transmission. It is therefore possible to increase the data transmission capacity without having to use an additional optical cable and without thereby increasing the load acting on an overhead line. A more effective system use is therefore achieved.
The lashing strap according to the invention can be used both in new installations and in the event of subsequent maintenance or repair of existing systems for Come into play. An old lashing strap used only for fastening can then either run over or taped over or by a lashing tape according to the invention are replaced. To do this, neither current-carrying system or the data-carrying system are switched off.
