Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Hüftprothesen-Gelenkpfanne, die Teile der aus der natürlichen Alltagsbelastung entstehenden Stoß-, Druck-, Schub- und Verdrehungskräfte noch vor der Übertragung auf die Verbundzone zwischen Prothesenschaft und Knochen des Oberschenkels abbaut; durch ein eingebrachtes Federelement zwischen Pfannen-Schale und Pfannen-Inlay. Das Federelement verbraucht einen Teil der Belastungskräfte als Verformungsenergie, entlastet so den Gelenkschaftsitz an der Grenzfläche zum Knochen und verlängert damit die medizinische Anwendbarkeitsdauer der Prothese. Dieser Puffereffekt schont ebenso die tragende Gelenkstruktur des ganzen Körpers.

Description

Die heute eingesetzten Hüftendoprothesen haben eine weitgehend starre Verbindung durch Pass- (Rechner-gestützte Fräsung), reinen Press- oder zementierten Sitz des Gelenkschaftes im Röhrenknochen des Oberschenkels, was eine langjährige Befestigung des künstlichen Gelenkes gewährleisten soll.
Gegen diese Verbindung wirken Stoss-, Druck-, Schub- und Verdrehungskräfte aus der natürlichen Alltagsbelastung, die über Gelenkpfanne und Prothesenschaft auf die Grenzfläche der Verbind­ ung mit dem Knochen (Kontaktzone) übertragen werden und dort häufig eine vorzeitige Lockerung des Prothesensitzes bewirken.
Dieses Problem wird durch das im Patentanspruch aufgeführte Merkmal verringert, weil Teile, vor allem die Spitzen der Belastungskräfte, sich als Verformungsenergie im Federelement verbrauchen.
Die mit der Erfindung erzielten Vorteile bestehen insbesondere in der Verlängerung der medizinischen Anwendbarkeitsdauer, die sich aus der verminderten Beanspruchung des Prothesensitzes logisch ergibt.
Darüberhinaus wird durch das Federelement ein Stossdämpfereffekt, wie im gesunden Gelenk zuvor durch Knorpel, erzielt. Das wiederum wirkt sich auf die Funktion der tragenden, symmetrischen Gelenke­ struktur des ganzen Körpers entlastend aus; vornehmlich auf das häufig durch die erkrankungsbedingte Fehlhaltung geschädigte Knie des betroffenen Beines.
Zwei Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung sind in der Zeichnung dargestellt und werden im folgenden näher beschrieben.
Die Zeichnung zeigt zwei Hüftgelenkpfannen mit der Schale und dem Inlay .
Diese Teile können weiterhin aus heute schon verwendeten Mate­ rialien mit allgemein bewährtem Design und erprobter Architektur hergestellt sein.
In Fig. I besteht das Federelement aus einem elastischen, Lastwechsel festem Material, der Puffereinlage .
Ein Dichtring aus körperverträglichem Material (z. B. Silikon) schützt vor Abwehrreaktionen, wenn die Puffereinlage wegen physikalisch besserer Eignung aus aggressiverem Material hergestellt sein muß.
In Fig. II besteht das Federelement aus einer Tellerfeder-Schale (aus z. B. Metalllegierung oder Kunststoff), die auf einer Gleitscheibe sitzt (aus z. B. Hartmetall, Kunststoff, Elfenbein oder Keramik), und der Füll- und Puffermasse , einem Breitbandring aus elastischem Material (z. B. Silikon oder Hydrogel).
Die Tellerfeder-Schale kann in die Puffereinlage oder in die Füll- und Puffermasse eingearbeitet sein.

Claims (1)

  1. Hüftprothesen-Gelenkpfanne, die Teile der aus der natürlichen Alltagsbelastung entstehenden Stoss-, Druck-, Schub- und Verdrehungskräfte noch vor der Übertragung auf den Prothesensitz, also auf die Grenzfläche zwischen Prothesenschaft und Knochen des Oberschenkels abbaut, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zwischen der Pfannenschale und dem Inlay ein Federelement eingebracht ist.
