Description
In Patent Application S 41450 VI / 48 a a \ r is experienced described electrophoretic routes for the preparation of coatings or layers of a pulp using calcined mica. The initially moist layers obtained in this way are then dried, solidified by sintering, binding agents, varnish and the like. B. excellent electrical insulation.
Man erhält dadurch verschiedene Vorteile. According to the invention, warm pulp, preferably used at a temperature of 60 to 80 ° C. The pulp can be next to calcined Mica still contains asbestos in fine distribution. This gives various advantages. The drying time is greatly reduced because the suspension liquid when removing the coating bearing body, especially when it comes to thin layers, evaporates quickly. In addition, will the time in which the water can act on the electrode surface is significantly reduced, because this time is mainly due to the drying process, because the electrophoretic precipitate, especially when producing thin layers, only used for a very short time. By shortening the presence of water is particularly important when using sensitive metals for electrodes the attack on the metal surface is shortened and the action of dissolved metal or metal oxide on the the side of the layer facing the metal is reduced. In the case of various metals, this effect is reduced the adhesive strength of the mica layer. Finally, “by using hot suspension is still Another advantage achieved: Particularly in the case of electrophoretic glimmering, very long parts exist the tendency for the still abundant liquid to combine into drops and run off and thereby Part of the downcast mica takes away. This affects the uniformity of the layer. By using hot baths, rapid evaporation sets in immediately, and formation single drop is prevented. In order to reduce the drying and To reduce the reaction time even further, the parts removed from the bath can be placed in a vacuum or exposed to a hot dry gas stream, infrared, high frequency heating, etc. In order to prevent the warm bath from cooling down, the parts to be covered can be covered beforehand Process and pulp
