Description
The invention relates to a battery pack for a battery powered power tool, with a Contact arrangement which is used to operate the Power tool in an operating position of the battery pack on the power tool with mating contacts of the Power tool can be brought into contact and which to Charging the from its operating position on Power tool detached battery packs in a charging position the battery pack on a battery charger with charging contacts in Contact can be brought.
Such battery packs, which are usually in one Shaft at the end of the handle or at the end of the Housing of a power tool can be inserted known. To charge the battery pack, this is from the Power tool holder slot pulled out and in a battery charger is plugged in to charge the battery. In this charging position on the battery charger is the Contact arrangement of the battery pack on charging contacts of the charger on. The battery pack must therefore be used to charge the Power tool can be disconnected. During this time you can a new charged battery pack in the slot can be plugged in and the power tool can then used while charging the first battery pack become.
There are also electrical appliances, for example Handheld vacuum cleaner, known to fit the housing of the device have integrated battery pack, which is a connection for a Charger cable of a charger or directly for a charging connection on a stationary charger. With these The battery pack remains in electrical devices during the charging process on the electrical device, but the device can Then the charging process is not operated with another battery become. About the usually thin charging cables and small ones Plug sockets cannot realize high charging currents which is why charging with a charging cable takes a very long time needed.
The present invention is based on the object Battery pack of the type mentioned for one battery powered power tool to that effect improve that the battery pack and that fed by it Power tool device can be used more universally, in particular the loading process depending on the number available standing battery packs and the time available for charging can be.
This task is carried out with a battery pack of the type mentioned solved according to the invention in that the battery pack additionally to the contact arrangement a connection for a charging cable has another battery charger and the Contact arrangement on the one hand and the connection for the Charging cables, on the other hand, each have a separate charging circuit is connected to the battery cells of the battery pack.
The invention thus creates a battery pack that solved on the one hand for charging the power tool and with its contact arrangement in a battery charger can be inserted. It can then be during this Charging the power tool by means of another charged battery packs continue to be operated. Depending on The type of battery cell and stationary (table) charger is Charging time via the contact arrangement usually between 10 min (capacitor charger) and about 1 hour (transformer Charger). But it is also conceivable that the battery pack in its operating position remains on the power tool and charged by a charger, another charger can, if there is enough time available for this and / or if no other charged battery pack is available is. In this case, the charging time depends on the Condition and number of battery cells between 1 and 3 Hours, usually about 2 hours.
But it is also possible in a particularly advantageous manner Battery pack for charging via the contact arrangement in a battery Plug in the charger and simultaneously charge via the Connect the charging cable to another battery charger. This allows the battery pack according to the invention for example a reduction in the charging time from 60 min to 45 min to reach.
In particular during charging by means of two Chargers damage the battery pack or the battery cells to prevent it proves to be particularly advantageous if at least the charging circuit of the contact arrangement, preferably each charging circuit, a temperature-dependent control element which, when charging the battery pack with a Control circuit of the charger or chargers interacts. It is particularly suitable for this an NTC resistor, which is known per se a third control contact (in addition to plus contact and minus Contact) of the battery pack with the control circuit of the charger is connectable. The control circuit of the charger can then about the resistance value of the temperature dependent Control the temperature of the battery pack or the Determine battery cells and charge accordingly to adjust. This is, for example, in DE 198 17 423 A1 Applicant described. Because preferably everyone Charge circuit such a temperature-dependent control element the charging process can be effectively controlled and controlled and damage to the battery pack prevented.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention Connection for the charging cable on the insertion side of the Battery packs on the opposite side, i.e. opposite the Contact arrangement provided.
The invention further relates to the use of a Battery pack designed according to the invention for operating a battery operated power tool.
The battery pack is advantageously ergonomically rounded trained, and its surface goes into the operating position of the battery pack on the power tool steadily into the curve the housing surface and forms part of a Handle knob for proper handling and guidance of the device can be gripped manually during operation.
Further features, details and advantages of the invention result from the patent claims and the following Description of a preferred embodiment of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows a battery pack 2 according to the invention with a contact arrangement 4. The battery pack 2 can be inserted with the contact arrangement 4 into a receiving slot of an electric power tool, not shown, wherein the charging contacts 4 come into contact with mating contacts of the electric tool device. In the state shown, released from the power tool, the battery pack 2 can be inserted either directly or via an adapter part 6 into a charging slot 8 of a universal charger 10 , the contact arrangement 4 being placed on charging contacts 12 of the universal charger and the battery pack being able to be charged. Also shown is a further charger 14 , which can be connected to a further charging connection 20 of the battery pack 2 via a flexible charging cable 16 and a plug connector 18 . In this way, the battery pack 2 can also be charged with a comparatively low charging current via the additional charger 14 .
Fig. 2 zeigt das Schaltbild des erfindungsgemäßen Akkupacks. Fig. 2 shows the circuit diagram of the battery pack according to the invention.
The contact arrangement 4 comprises a plus contact 22 , a minus contact 24 and a control contact 26 . The plus contact leads via a diode 28 to the positive electrode 30 of a battery cell arrangement 32 connected in series, and the minus contact 24 leads to its negative electrode 34 . The control contact 26 is connected to the minus contact 24 via a temperature-dependent control element 36 in the form of an NTC resistor. A capacitor (not shown), which represents a coding means for the battery cell arrangement 32 , can be connected in parallel with the control element 36 . This is described in detail in DE 198 17 423 A1.
The components described above form a first charging circuit 38 for charging the battery cell arrangement 32 via the contact arrangement 4 . Furthermore, there is a second charging circuit 40 which connects the charging connection 20 of the battery pack to the battery cell arrangement 32 . Here too, a plus contact 42 , a minus contact 44 and a control contact 46 are provided, which are designed as plug contacts and can form a plug connection with the plug contact 18 .
Furthermore, the second charging circuit 40 also includes a temperature-dependent control element 48 in the form of an NTC resistor between the control contact 46 and the negative electrode 34 of the battery cell arrangement 32 . With suitable and known design of the control circuit within the charger, the charging process can then be controlled via the control contact 46 and thereby the battery pack can be prevented from being overheated. Here, too, a coding means can be used for coding the battery pack, for example in the form of a capacitor connected in parallel with the control element 48 .
If a charger 14 with a very low charging current is used to charge the battery pack 2 via the connection 20 , it would be sufficient if this charger were not designed for temperature-dependent control of the charging process, since the battery pack does not overheat at low charging currents. The charging process would then be controlled in an advantageous and sufficient manner by the (table) charger with the battery pack inserted via the contact arrangement 4 . In such a case, the temperature-dependent control element 48 in the second charging circuit 40 would itself be unnecessary. However, it goes without saying that the formation of both charging circuits 38 , 40 with a temperature-dependent control element 36 , 48 is preferred.
