Description

The invention relates to a splinter warhead according to the preamble of Claim 1.

When the flight targets to be combated are high speed and high Speed of warhead fragments fighting the destination, d. H. at a high relative speed between the target to be fought and the fragments of a warhead result in a shattering effect, i. H. the splinters of the warhead are atomized as it were and therefore not optimally effective. The said relative speed is in known splinter warheads z. B. more than 2400 to 2600 m / sec, d. H. at least approx. 2500 m / sec. Such high Relative speeds cause the shattering effect mentioned.

The invention has for its object a splinter warhead to create the type mentioned, in which the splinters in relation to each  combat flight destination have an optimal relative speed, so that no Shatter effect occurs.

This task is carried out in a splinter warhead of the type mentioned according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1 solved. Preferred training and further developments of the splinter according to the invention Warhead are marked in the subclaims.

With the splinter warhead according to the invention, in which the Ignition device for the associated with the fragments of the warhead Explosive charge has a number of ignition means, which by means of a The timing control device can be specifically controlled, there is the advantage that the appropriate ones according to the speeds of the flight targets to be fought Controlled ignition means, d. H. be ignited to the splinters of the To accelerate warhead to such a speed that the Relative speed between the target to be fought and the splinters, avoiding a shattering effect is optimized. This optimal Relative speed is approx. 2000 m / sec. With this optimized Relative speed between a target to be fought and the Splitting the warhead according to the invention becomes a dynamic splinter cone formed, the opening angle is advantageously smaller than a static Fragment cone.

Further details, features and advantages result from the following Description of a schematically and abstracted in the drawing Embodiment of the splinter warhead according to the invention in Combination with a fire control computer that is connected to a measuring station.

The figure schematically shows a target 10 to be combated, which has the speed v. The only schematically clarified splinter warhead 12 serves for the optimal control of the flying target 10, which is for a projectile, that is provided for a tube weapon or for a missile, to combat flight objective 10th The fragmentation warhead 12 has fragments 14 which are provided for combating the flight target 10 . The fragmentation warhead 12 also has an explosive charge 16 and an ignition device 18 for the explosive charge 16 . The ignition device 18 has a number of ignition devices 20 1 , 20 2 , 20 3 to 20 n , which form an ignition device chain. The individual ignition devices 20 1 to 20 n can be controlled in a targeted manner by means of a time control device 22. This controllability is indicated by the comb-like arrow 24 . A timer 26 (timer) is assigned to the time control device 22.

The reference numeral 28 designates a propellant charge for the projectile or missile 30 having the splinter warhead 12 .

Each ignition means 20 1 to 20 n has a boost charge and a detonator.

The reference numeral 32 denotes a fire control computer in the figure, which is also only schematically illustrated by a block. The fire control computer 32 has an input 34 and outputs 36 and 38 . The input 34 is connected to a measuring station 40 with which the coordinates of the target 10 to be combated and its speed v are measured. The signals corresponding to these measured values are processed in the fire control computer 32 . The output 36 of the fire control computer 32 is connected to the time control device 22 and the timer 26 assigned to it. The output 38 is connected to the propellant charge 28 . With the help of the fire control computer 32 , the appropriate ignition means 20 i are ignited via the time control device 22 and the timer 26 in order to achieve an optimal relative speed between the splinters 14 of the splinter warhead 12 and the flight target 10 to be combated. This optimal relative speed is of the order of magnitude approx. 2000 m / sec, as has already been mentioned. If the speed v of the flight target 10 to be combated is low, the ignition means 20 1 is ignited, for example. If the speed v of the flight target 10 is high, the ignition means 20 4 , 20 5 or 20 6 or 20 i is ignited, for example, in order to ignite a correspondingly enlarged proportion of the explosive charge 16 and thus accelerate the splinters 14 correspondingly more strongly, in order to again to achieve an optimal relative speed between the splitters 14 and the flight target 10 .
