KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Auftragen von Klebstoff auf Fäden, Halme oder dergl. Solche mit Klebstoff bestrichene Fä'den, Halme oder dergl. können in bekannter Weise als Insektenfallen benutzt werden. Zum Auftragen des Klebstoffes wird eine Tube benutzt, die mit einem geeigneten Mundstück ausgestattet ist. Fig. 1 ist eine Seitenansicht der Vorrichtung in ihrer einfachsten Form, wobei Mundstück und Kappe im Schnitt dargestellt sind. Die Fig. 2 und 3 zeigen die Tube und das Mundstück, sowie die Kappe gesondert in der Draufsicht. Die Fig. 4 bis 6 zeigen eine Abänderung der Vorrichtung. Fig. 4 ist dabei eine Seitenansicht, wobei das Mundstück und die Kappe im Schnitt dargestellt sind, Fig. 5 und 6 sind ähnliche Ansichten, wobei Kappe und Mundstück gesondert dargestellt sind. Wird die mit Klebstoff gefüllte Tube α zusammengedrückt, so tritt Klebstoff aus dem Loch α1 in das geschlitzte Mundstück b, auf welches eine Kappe c geschoben wird. Bei der in Fig. 1 bis 3 gezeigten Einrichtung wird die Kappe abgenommen, um den Faden oder Halm in den Schlitz b einführen zu können, dann wird sie wieder aufgesetzt, um den Faden oder den Halm festzuhalten, zu welchem Zweck das Ende der Kappe bei c1 eingekerbt ist. Der Faden wird dann quer durch das Mundstück gezogen, wobei man die Tube zusammendrückt, um dem Faden oder Halm Klebstoff zuzuführen. In Fig. 4 bis 6 wird die Kappe c vom Mundstück b nicht abgenommen, sondern kann darauf frei gleiten; sie ist nämlich bei c2 geschlitzt, um einen Stift b2 aufzunehmen, der am Mundstück befestigt ist. Die Kappe ist aufserdem auch bei c3 geschlitzt. Behufs Einführung des Fadens oder Halmes bringt man die Schlitze c3 und bl zur Deckung; alsdann wird die Kappe c mehr oder weniger weit nach aufsen gezogen, um den Faden, wie in Fig. 4 gezeigt, zu umfassen und zu halten. Der innere Theil des Schlitzes c3 besitzt Einkerbungen verschiedener Gröfse, für Fäden oder Halme von verschiedener Dicke. The present invention relates to a device for applying adhesive to threads, stalks or the like. Such threads, stalks or the like coated with adhesive can be used in a known manner as insect traps. In the device shown in Fig. 1 to 3, the cap is removed in order to insert the thread or stalk into the slot b, then it is replaced to hold the thread or stalk, for which purpose the end of the cap at c1 is notched. The thread is then pulled across the mouthpiece, compressing the tube to apply glue to the thread or stalk. In Fig. 4 to 6, the cap c is not removed from the mouthpiece b, but can slide freely on it; namely, it is slotted at c2 to receive a pin b2 attached to the mouthpiece. The cap is also slit at c3. For the purpose of introducing the thread or stalk, the slots c3 and bl are brought to coincide; then the cap c is pulled outwards to a greater or lesser extent in order to encompass and hold the thread, as shown in FIG. The inner part of the slot c3 has notches of various sizes for threads or stalks of various thicknesses. In this device, the end of the mouthpiece b is closed, while it is open in Figs.
