Abstract

Warning light systems are based upon a continuous lighting source that varies in intensity. The variation in intensity can take place as either a rhythmic or non rhythmic cycle. This may be used in such as vehicle brake lights, industrial indicators and advertising.

Description

The invention relates to a method for changing the light intensity.

Biological and human psychological findings should be in an electrical system be implemented and used.

Das Anwendungsgebiet betrifft Gefahren-, Warn- und Signalleuchten. The area of application concerns hazard, warning and signal lights.

Zum Stand der TechnikThe state of the art

Two types of hazard, warning and signal lights are common and well known.

  • a) Die mit gleicher Intensität brennende Leuchte (z. B. Bremslicht etc.)a) The lamp burning with the same intensity (e.g. brake light etc.)
  • b) Das Blinklicht (z. B. Autoblinklicht etc.)b) The flashing light (e.g. car flashing light etc.)

The functions of both types of lights often overlap.

They must be used at the same time (brake and flashing light).

So they must be clearly distinguishable and recognizable.

Aufgabetask

In everyday life, light signals are used in a wide variety of situations Hazardous situations are warned or should be alerted by light signals People are directed.

Die Leuchtsignale haben eine unterschiedliche Wertigkeit:
The light signals have different values:

B. Polizeiblinklicht etc.)- The flashing signals are due to the alternation of light and darkness best recognizable and are used accordingly (e.g. police flashing light etc.)
The lamp that burns with the same intensity also has a warning function But people are harder to see because of the uniform light.

Both types of light signals must be used to deal with different hazardous situations to identify.

Dies wird deutlich in den verschiedensten Bereichen:
This becomes clear in the most diverse areas:

The car must blink and brake at the same time.

It follows that both signals must be distinguishable (flashing and permanent light).

Aber jedes Signal tritt auch einzeln auf.But each signal also occurs individually.

Das permanente Licht (Bremslicht) wird jedoch vom Menschen schlechter wahrgenommen, d. h. leichter übersehen. The permanent light (brake light) is perceived less well by humans, d. H. more easily overlooked.

  • - In Fabrikanlagen treten ebenfalls zur Warnung Blinklichter und permanente Lichter auf.- Flashing lights and permanent lights also appear in factories as a warning.

Here too, the permanent lights are more easily overlooked and perceived later what can lead to damage.

The problem in the neon sign is similar.

Zuviele blinkende Lichter ermüden das Auge. Permanente Lichter werden leichter übersehen.Too many flashing lights tire the eye. Permanent lights are more easily overlooked.

So there is the problem:
The distinction between flashing light and permanent light must be preserved.
At the same time, however, the warning function, the perceptibility of the permanent light should be increased.

The object is achieved in that certain peculiarities of human perception is taken into account and it in the process of rhythmic and non-rhythmic changes in light intensity put into practice become.

Voraussetzungenrequirements

Human perception does not only react to light effects such as light and dark, i.e. H. flash.

Human perception does not only react to permanent light.

The eye can range from dark vision to maximum brightness Perceive light differences of approx. 15 powers of ten.

Licht bzw. Light or brightness is fast, approx. 900-600 times faster than sound.

Alternation of light or brightness even in lower potency is considered by humans Perceived movement and thus perceived and recognized more easily and quickly.

Between light and dark (blinking) there is a wide range of brightness that of humans is seen and perceived.

Dieser Bereich soll genutzt werden. This area is to be used.

Lösungsolution

    1. The distinction between flashing light and permanent light must be maintained.
A flashing light uses the full range between dark and light.
With a permanent light, in which the brightness is rhythmic or unrhythmic just around a little is changed, there is a double effect:
3. Human beings recognize light as permanent light.
At the same time, however, the change in brightness is perceived and the warning and Signal effect analogous to the flashing light increased.

The method of rhythmic and unrhythmic light intensity changes therefore carries both advantages in itself, the source is recognized as permanent light, perception but increased analogously to the flashing light.

A confusion between flashing light and the rhythmic and unrhythmic Changing the light intensity is not possible.

The change of light, brightness can easily be done by computer, Microprocessors, resistors etc. are controlled and regulated.

Vorzugsweise wird das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren eingesetzt:
The method according to the invention is preferably used:

  • a) bei Autoleuchtena) for car lights
  • b) Warn- und Steueranlagen der Industrieb) Industrial warning and control systems
  • c) Werbebeleuchtungenc) advertising lightings
Vorteilebenefits

The RULV method according to the invention allows a clear differentiation from Flashing light and permanent light, the warning and signaling effect of the permanent Light is significantly increased by the RULV process.

For car lights this is particularly relevant for the brake lights.

Since the RULV process increases the perceptibility and signal effect, is one higher security guaranteed.

This is particularly true in exceptional situations, such as B. fog or the waning Attention of the driver during long journeys.

Die Unfallgefahr wird verringert. The risk of accidents is reduced.

In industrial warning and control systems, the reaction time of the operating personnel is often important.

In longer periods of time, the operator's attention wanes.

Permanentes Licht wird dadurch leichter übersehen.Permanent light is more easily overlooked.

The RULV procedure increases the perceptibility and reduces the response time and possible damage reduced.

In the case of advertising lighting, the eye of the viewer is tired due to constant flashing, attention wanes.

A permanent light, on the other hand, is more easily overlooked and less perceived.

The RULV method attracts the viewer's attention without the eye gets tired.
