Grundsätzlich kann auch vorgesehen sein, dass sämtliche Airbags eines Fahrzeugs gleichzeitig ausgelöst werden. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, daß der Bediener an dem Auslösegerät 2 durch entsprechende Eingaben über die Tastatur 14 gezielt einzelne Airbags oder Gruppen von Airbags auslöst. Hierdurch kann beispielsweise nach einem Unfall geprüft werden, ob ein während des Unfalls nicht ausgelöster Airbag an sich funktionsfähig war.
